Important Updates for AIIMS Kalyani

NEET UG 2024 will be held on May 5, 2024, for admission to MBBS at AIIMS Kalyani. The tentative schedule for entrance exams to be conducted in 2024 for admission to various UG, PG, and Doctoral courses at AIIMS Kalyani has been released. AIIMS Kalyani Admission 2023 is open for undergraduate programs like MBBS, B.Sc and postgraduation programs like MD, MS, and MDS courses. AIIMS Kalyani is one of the six new AIIMS institutes established in India by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

  • AIIMS Kalyani MBBS Admission is conducted through NEET UG. The exam includes 200 MCQs covering Physics, Chemistry, Biology, General Knowledge, and Aptitude and Logical Thinking. 
  • MD, MS, and MDS admissions are conducted through INI-CET exam. The examination consists of 200 MCQs covering subjects related to the respective specializations.

AIIMS Kalyani MBBS Admission 2023

AIIMS Kalyani offers MBBS program for a duration of 5 years and 6 months. The total seat intake of the program is 125 including reserved categories. To complete the courses, students are required to complete a 12 months internship. The basic eligibility criteria for admission is to pass 10+2 with at least 50% marks from a recognized board. Admissions wxill be granted on the basis of NEET scores followed by MCC Counseling.

AIIMS Kalyani MBBS Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible for MBBS admission at AIIMS Kalyani, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Candidates must have passed class 12th with at least 50% aggregate in the Science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology along with English as a compulsory subject
  • Candidates must be Indian citizens and should be at least 17 years old.
  • Candidates in their final year who are awaiting results are also eligible to apply.
  • SC/ST categories will be given a 10% relaxation in 10+2 percentage.

AIIMS Kalyani MBBS Selection Criteria

  • Applicants are admitted to AIIMS Kalyani based on their performance in the NEET UG exam administered by NTA (National Testing Agency).
  • Candidates who exceed the college's cutoffs are approached for counseling.
  • Under the State Govt Quota, 85% of the MBBS seats at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Kalyani are filled by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra.
  • MCC, however, is in charge of filling the remaining 15% of seats using All India Quota seats. Those who meet the NEET requirements may apply for both counseling processes.

AIIMS Kalyani B.Sc (Hons.) Nursing Admission 2023

AIIMS Kalyani B.Sc (Hons.) Nursing Admissions are expected to commence in the month of May. BSc admissions are conducted through online entrance exam, which is usually held in the month of June. The entrance exam is conducted by AIIMS Delhi, and candidates can apply for the same through the official website of AIIMS.

  • Candidates are required to obtain a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English in 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
  • Candidates must be at least 17 years of age on or before December 31st of the year of admission.
  • After the entrance exam, qualified candidates are called for counseing, during which they will be allotted seats based on their rank and availability of seats in the respective programs.
  • Students are also required to complete a 6 month internship period before the fourth year of the course. 

AIIMS Kalyani B.Sc (Hons.) Nursing Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates who have completed the 12th grade in the science stream or its equivalent from any recognized institution or board may apply with an overall score of 55%.
  • Candidate should be at least 17 years old.
  • Candidates who are awaiting results are also eligible to apply.
  • SC/ST categories receive a 5% relaxation.

AIIMS Kalyani PG Eligibility Criteria

  • For taking admission into MD / MS / MDS, candidates must have passed MBBS or BDS with 55% marks recognized by the Medical Council of India and should have completed one year’s internship.
  • For taking admission into MD (Hospital Administration), candidates must have passed MBBS with 55% marks recognized by the Medical Council of India.
  • A candidate must possess MBBS degree for MD/MS and BDS degree for MDS courses of a University recognized by the Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India and must have completed the required period of 12 months compulsory rotating Internship/Practical training on or before 31st January, 2023.
  • Candidates who complete their internship after 31st January, 2023 are not eligible for Registration in this examination.
  • PWBD Candidates must possess a valid document certifying his/her physical disability. The disability certificate should be certified by a duly constituted and authorized Medical Board of the State or Central Govt.

Candidates appearing for allotment by personal appearance should bring the following documents in Original OR duly Attested / Self Attested photocopy (after verification of original) of the documents:

  5. Mark Sheets of MBBS/BDS 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Professional Examinations.

  8. the candidate will be completing the internship by 31st January 2023.
  9. Permanent/Provisional Registration Certificate issued by MCI or DCI/State Medical or Dental Council.
  10. High School/Higher Secondary Certificate/Birth Certificate in proof of date of birth. (Matriculation)

The candidates should also bring the following certificates, if applicable:

  1. SC/ST Certificate issued by the competent authority and should be in English or Hindi in language. Community should be clearly mentioned in the certificate.
  2. OBC/EWS Certificate issued by the competent authority for central Govt. jobs/for admission in Central Govt. College/Institute. The sub‐caste should tally with the Central List of OBC/EWS. OBC/EWS Candidates should not belong to Creamy Layer. OBC/EWS certificate must be in the Central Govt. Format as prescribed in the prospectus.
  3. Physical Disability Certificate issued from a duly constituted and authorized Medical Board as mentioned in the prospectus.

INI-CET admission process is completely online. Candidates can apply for multiple courses at AIIMS by registering for INI CET. The complete admission process is mentioned below:

  • Visit the official website for INI CET - aiimsexams.ac.in
  • Select the academic course from the list given on the site
  • Start the new registration
  • Enter all the information on the basic registration form
  • Generate registration ID as well as Password
  • After generating the registration ID and password, log in on the AIIMS portal for INI CET using credential
  • Upload scanned passport-size colored photograph, scanned signature, and thumb impression with the prescribed format
  • Select the medium of the examination and enter academic details
  • Go to the payment option and select the payment mode
  • Pay the application fee of INR 2000 for the candidate who belongs to the unreserved or general category and INR 1500 for the candidate from the reserved or SC/ ST category.
  • Download and print the application form for future reference.
