Cluster University of Srinagar [CUS] is a State University established under ‘The Srinagar and Jammu Cluster Universities Act, 2016’ passed by the Jammu and Kashmir State Legislature on July 8, 2016. It has 5 constituent colleges namely Amar Singh College, Sri Pratap College, Govt. College for Women, M. A. Road, Govt. Degree College, Bemina and Govt. College of Education in its close vicinity.

Ans. Common Aptitude Test (CAT) consists of 40 MCQs wherein, 15 marks shall be kept for General Reasoning, 15 for General English and 10 for Mathematics. The questions based on General Reasoning and General English shall be of Class 11th /12th level, whereas the questions based on Mathematics shall be of Class 10th level.

I have a few friends from both universities and according to their reviews, Kashmir University is definitely the best in Kashmir. Especially for the non-management courses. The quality of academics at the institute is unparalleled.

Although the business school is treated as the crown of the institute there is a lack of entrepreneurial minds and placement opportunities. This is the only reason the university lags behind for management courses. However, other streams like Engineering, Medical, Arts, Humanities, Computer Science are great.

The campus is located at the heart of Srinagar, near the famous Dal Lake. The campus is green and has urban infrastructure. Overall, the University of Kashmir can be a great option for pursuing your course.

What is the process of admission for CBSE students as their 12th final board exams are in April 2022 and results will be out by June 2022 I am interested in BA programme?

Admission to the BA program at the Cluster University of Srinagar is merit-based. They will consider your 10+2 score and your performance in Common Aptitude Test. You can apply through the website of CU. Fill up the application form and upload the required documents. You have to also pay an application fee.

The institute announces a merit list after document verification for all candidates are completed. CU has not released admission notification for 2022 yet.
