St. Joseph College has been ranked as an A++ from the NAAC. In the near future, the college is expected to have achieved “university status”. In accordance with this development in the status of the college, the admission procedure has been improved and modified. Thus, the competition is high, and securing admission at St. Joseph College has become challenging.

  • To begin with the process, you would be required to visit their official website and fill the online application form without errors.
  • Choose the course you are willing to pursue from the given number of courses.
  • Corresponding to your chosen course you would be notified about your written/ entrance examination or P.I (personal interview).
  • Make sure to prepare yourself for these rounds as it is a deciding factor for your admission.
  • Following it is held an entrance exam on the scheduled date for which every aspirant who has filled the admission form needs to appear for.
  • The college does not keep students waiting for the results and updates it later on the same day of the exam.
  • On clearing the exam, you would be called in for the interview process the following day.

One of the factors you should keep in mind before choosing a college is its location. Transportation facilities are easy and frequent. Consider infrastructure, faculty, placements, alumni network, fees, before selecting a college.

One of my friends studied at St. Joseph College Bangalore. According to him, it is a very green and safe campus. Here are some facts about it:

  • Classes start here at 6:30 AM, this gives time to do internships later in the day.
  • St, Joseph Bangalore is a bit expensive compared to other courses but the global exposure offered is beneficial for your career.
  • The placements are conducted at the end of the year and various companies recruit students from this campus.
  • Admission process starts with a written aptitude test followed by an interview.
  • The hostels in St. Joseph’s College are affordable compared to others. They do not provide food as there are almost 10 food joints around the campus.
  • The faculty is highly experienced. Most of them are visiting faculty.

This course gives students a global aspect of accounting. It includes various fields of the business like entrepreneurship and finance specialization. The exam structure is divided equally between end-semester papers, CIAs, and mid-semester papers. Cultural fests and Inter-College competitions are also conducted which provides enough exposure.

I might not have studied B.Com with ACCA at St. Joseph College, Bangalore, but one of my friends did, so let me share his experience, which might answer your question.

  • If you want to do B.Com, it would be a good idea to do both at the same time. It however requires a lot of hard work.
  • You should try and concentrate on two areas, with ACCA requiring more devotion and effort.
  • There are times when you must forgo ‘all the fun' at university to focus on ACCA.
  • There would be occasions when you would have to submit a portfolio to your university or when you have a university examination and an ACCA examination at the same time.
  • Because you're doing it together, you will not be eligible for any ACCA exemptions.
  • Furthermore, due to university obligations, you will not be able to complete more papers per session.
  • On the plus side, you will save a significant amount of time (2 years approximately).

It all goes down to how well you can manage your time. Go for it, if you think you can do it together. All of this is based on my friend's experience. This experience might vary in case of other students.

According to one of my friends studying at St. Joseph College, the cut-off score here is 75 percent, and three lists are announced every year by the college.

  • The first one is for students who have acquired a score of more than 90 percent.
  • The second is for students who have acquired a score between 80 and 90 percent.
  • The last list includes individuals who have scored above 75 percent.

The third list is for the students who scored above 75%. Although only 3 or 4 students out of ten who score 75 are shortlisted, based on their scores in science and mathematics.

The first list is usually declared in the middle of May. The second list is published at the end of May, and the third list is released in the second week of June when the first week of college has begun.

However, if you are a non-Karnataka student but passed your 12th or PUC from the Karnataka board then you don’t have to pay the additional amount.

Also, if you take foreign languages like Garman or Franch then your college fees will be a little higher.

St. Joseph’s College Bangalore interview is conducted only for a namesake. But do not take it lightly. Make sure you look and sound sharp and proper.

Keep your answers short and to the point. Do not elaborate on any information unnecessarily. go on elaborating information when it is not necessary.

If you are called for the PI be assured that you already have become a part of the college. There is no reason to feel worried, be yourself, and answer with confidence and honesty.

The electronics department at St. Joseph Pu College, Residency Road is not that great. However, in St. Joseph’s Indian Composite PU College at Vittal Mallya Road, the Electronics department is comparably good. The faculties are doing a good job. Overall, St. Joseph is not a great option for Electronics. It is bast for Commerce and Arts courses.

Both Christ University and St. Joseph College Bangalore are reputed. In terms of quality of education, the former is a little ahead. However, economically St. Joseph is a better choice. As the course fees are more affordable. But both will provide you with decent opportunities. Christ offers better foreign exposure in terms of foreign lecturers and professors.

Christ is also quite strict regarding dress codes and rules on campus. Accommodation around Christ is cheaper compared to St. Joseph. Since St. Joseph is located in central Bangalore.

You can choose either of these two institutions, according to your convenience
