Kalinga University was established in the year 2013 under Chhattisgarh Private Universities Act 2005 and is located in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

Kalinga University offers various UG, PG, Diploma, and Integrated courses through its 14 departments.

  • Candidates who have passed 10+2/HSC or its equivalent qualifying examination with minimum 45% marks (40% marks for reserve category) from a recognized Board are considered eligible for admission to the UG course.
  • Applicants with graduation degree of minimum three years with at least 45% marks (40% for the reserved category) from a recognized University are considered eligible to get admission in any PG course.
  • Candidates are selected on the basis of their merit in the qualifying examination (for UG course) or in the Graduation Degree (for PG course) as per the guidelines of the University.
  • The application form is the same for every course (UG/ PG) and is available online and offline. Candidates shall submit the application fee of INR 1000 either through net banking/ credit/ debit card in online mode or through demand draft/ cash in offline mode.

Key Points for Admission:

  • Shortlisted candidates are required to submit the admission fee within the 10 working days after the declaration of the selection. Failing which will result in the cancellation of the candidature.
  • The seat will be then allotted to the first candidate of the waiting list.

  • The mode of application is both online/ offline.
  • Online Mode:
    • Candidates shall visit the website of the college.
    • Click on the Admission tab.
    • Fill out the form and submit it.
  • Offline Mode:
    • The application form could be downloaded from the website of the college or can be obtained in person from the college.
    • Fill out the form with all the relevant details.
    • Submit it in person at the college’s office or through the post.
  • Application fee of INR 1000 should be submitted either in cash or through Demand Draft drawn in favor of Kalinga University payable at Raipur in the case of offline mode, whereas in online mode application fee of INR 1000 should be submitted through credit/ debit card/ net banking.

Kalinga University Scholarship

Kalinga University awards merit scholarship to the meritorious students based on their merit in HSC qualifying examination and to those who belong to the special category. The scholarship is given on the tuition fee.

Ques. How are Kalinga University admissions held?

Ans. Admission to Kalinga University is based on the Kalinga Scholastic Entrance Examination (KALSEE). It is a Computer Based Test (CBT) conducted by Pearson VUE (for Kalinga University) and is held in various cities across India & other countries. The exam is of 90 minutes duration for all UG & PG Courses and of 120 minutes duration for the Ph.D. program. There is no negative marking in the test and the students need to score 50% marks to qualify the exam.

Ans. The application fee for KALSEE is as follows:

  • India & SAARC: INR 1000 for all courses except PhD
  • India & SAARC: INR 2000 for the Ph.D. program

Ques. What is the KALSEE exam pattern?

Ans. The exam consists of 90 questions for the UG and PG programs and 100 questions for the Ph.D. program. Each question carries 1 mark with no negative marking. Syllabus for each category of KALSEE exam is given below:

  • B.Tech program: Physics (25 marks), Chemistry (25 marks), Maths (25 marks) & English Communication (15 marks). 
  • Other UG programs: English Communication (25 marks), Logical Reasoning (25 marks), Quantitative Aptitude (20 marks) & General Aptitude (25 marks).
  • All PG programs: English Communication (25 marks), Logical Reasoning (25 marks), Quantitative Aptitude (20 marks) & General Aptitude (25 marks).
  • LLM program: English Communication (25 marks), Legal Awareness and Aptitude (25 marks), Quantitative Aptitude (20 marks) & Logical Reasoning (20 marks).
  • Ph.D. program: Paper 1 is common to all, comprising of 50 Objective Type Questions. Paper 2 is as per the specialization applied, comprising of 50 Objective Type Questions.

Ans. Students scoring a minimum of 80 percentile or above in JEE, CAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA, CMAT, LSAT, CLAT, SAT, GMAT, NEET, GATE, NDA, NIFT, UPSC, CGPSC, and any other State PSC Examination are given 50 % Scholarship on tuition fee. Ans. There are separate hostels for boys and girls with all the modern facilities for a healthy living. The hostel rooms have attached washroom (except in certain dormitory rooms), bed (without mattress), table, chair, and storage unit. Both AC and Non AC rooms (sharing basis) are available (as opted). Wi-Fi for internet connectivity is available for scheduled timing for academic purposes only and subject to conditions. Students are permitted to keep certain electrical devices like electrical iron, laptop, mobile charger, hair trimmer, and hairdryer.

Remarks:

As the college was new at that time so there was no entrance exam but you need to have at least 60% in your 12th exam to get Enrolled. You get the form online from the college site or there are different offices also situated in different cities from there also you can get the forms.

Eligibility of the course is Class 12th pass-out students in biology subject. The application form is available on the official website of Kalinga University, where entire details are provided by the University regarding the fee structure and application date. Reservations are provided to Christian students, ST/SC students and those students who have scored good marks in their board exams. The entire Admission process at this University is great, as the student coordinator provides each and every detail and helps them throughout the process.

Eligibility for a Bachelor of Interior designing is 12th pass or one should qualify for any field-related exams. One can find the applications on the official website of the college. One has to show the certificates for which he/she is willing to take reservations.

Remarks:

Eligibility of the course was to pass 12th and in above 60% marks and you have to clear the entrance exam. The application form is available on Kalinga's official website and is also available on Kalinga's campus and city office too application fee is 1000 and the application date is as soon as possible. It should be faster for the admission process.

To be eligible for the course you have to be passed in the 12th standard with the mandatory subjects physics chemistry and biology. You can find the application form in the admission council hall or you can do it all online through the admission counselor. The admission process is very smooth nothing needs to be changed in that.

The eligibility criteria are simple we have to crack an online test. The questions are on the basis of the 12th standard. You can get the admission form and details by visiting the reception area where many admission counselors are there to help you. You can do all the admission and test process completely online too. Having known some people studying in both these institutes, I can say that Kalinga University (KU) is much better than Amrita University. Here are some points in support of this statement. KU has a great reputation and is often compared with the NITs. The placements at KU are far better than at Amrita University. Top companies like Infosys, Accenture, HP, PWC, TCS, Dell, etc. take part in their placement program. They have a huge campus, very well maintained and equipped with all the necessary facilities. The campus environment is excellent with well-equipped hostel rooms. Doing B.Ed from any university will be helpful if you put in the required effort by yourself. Kalinga University is a valid option for pursuing a B.Ed degree. Although there are better private colleges than Kalinga in Chandigarh, where you can apply to do your B.Ed.  I will suggest that you do your research, visit the colleges personally, meet the departmental faculties, evaluate the atmosphere on campus and then decide.

I have a few friends who graduated from Kalinga University Raipur and according to them, it is a decent option for pursuing an MBA.  The faculty of the university is great. They are well-qualified and cooperative. It has a good infrastructure. Students get facilities such as a well-stocked library, good hostel facilities, wi-fi campus, gym, canteen, mess, food zone, etc. The sports facilities on campus are also quite great. Kalinga University has maintained a decent placement record over the years. In the recent campus drive, the average CTC offered at the institute was 2.30 LPA and the highest CTC was 10 LPA.  As a student of Kalinga University Raipur, you will have exposure to companies like Reliance Jio, Nestle, NIBF, Genpact, etc.  They also offer parchment training to help you improve your skills.  So, overall Kalinga University Raipur is a good option for pursuing your MBA.

These companies recruit thousands of fresh graduates each year. They usually conduct huge off-campus drives. Keep track of such drives. Apply when the registration is open. Be prepared with basic aptitude and programming and you should get the job you want.

Kalinga University (KU) is one of the newly established universities in Chhattisgarh. When KU is compared with other newly established universities, it has proven to have a better growth rate than others. It provides good infrastructure and an environment appropriate for education. They also provide students with enough opportunities. Extracurricular activities are given proper importance and recognition.  The faculty members are highly experienced.  The subjects commerce and management, IT, and Law in KU are considered to be superior to the others. For engineering aspirants, KU is a growing institution as its labs are still under development. For jobs and placements, you really have to present your talent and skills. Try being an active participant in all the activities. Study hard, groom yourself and start preparing yourself for the placement from day one, as building up yourself step by step will take time.
