VIT University Integrated LLB (Hons.), LLM Admission : The University is inviting applications to Integrated LLB(H) and LLM Admission 2021. Eligible candidates can visit the official website to apply. The application fee for UG course is 850 INR while the application fee for PG course is 1200 INR.

VIT Chennai has started the application process for M.Sc Admission for the academic year 2022. Eligible candidates can visit the official website and get the application form. The last day for the online submission of application form is May 21.

VIT Chennai offers B.Tech, BA-LL.B, BBA-LL.B, M.Tech, MCA and MBA courses at UG and PG level in different specializations. VIT Chennai also offers M.Phil & Ph.D. programs along with M.Tech by Research. Application forms for different courses are available on the official website of VIT.

• Students have to qualify in VITEEE conducted by VIT to get admission in B.Tech program.
• BA-LL.B and BBA-LL.B admission is offered on the basis of a valid score in LSAT or CLAT or any other national level entrance test followed by GD and PI.
• For M.Tech, MCA and M.Tech by Research courses, a valid score in VITMEE is mandatory. Final admission is based on interview.
• CAT/ MAT/XAT/GMAT/ CMAT or NMAT qualified candidates are eligible to apply for MBA program. Interested Candidates need to note that registration for NMAT and XAT has started and will end on November 10 and November 30 respectively .
• Students looking for admission in M.Phil & Ph.D. courses need to appear for VITREE followed by an interview.
• Those students who have already qualified in CSIR NET or UGC NET or any other national level entrance test will get a direct call for interview from the respective department of the university.

VIT Chennai Admission Highlights 2023

VIT Chennai offers full-time B.Tech course in various disciplines for the duration of four years.. 10+2 with PCM/B with at least 60% marks in aggregate is the minimum eligibility criteria for admission. The university conducts VITEEE to offer admission in B.Tech program. Final admission is based on the university-based counselling followed by document verification.

Key Point: A candidate whose birth date is on or after July 01, 1996 are only eligible to apply for admission.

VIT B.Tech Application Process: Application form for B.Tech program can be filled online or offline by following the given instructions:

Online Mode:

VIT Chennai also offers integrated BA-LL.B and BBA-LL.B programs in VIT School of Law (VITSOL) for the duration of five years. Admission is granted on the basis of marks in CLAT or LSAT or a valid score in any other national level entrance exam. Final selection is done on the basis of candidates’ performance in GD followed by an interview.

VIT also offers M.Tech, MCA and MBA programs at PG level. Bachelor’s degree in the related discipline with at least 60% marks in aggregate is the minimum eligibility criteria for admission. VIT conducts VITMEE to offer admission in M.Tech and MCA courses.  VITMEE is a computer-based test. Final admission is subject to an interview round of the shortlisted candidates. Apart from VITMEE, GATE qualified candidates are also eligible to apply for M.Tech.

VIT Chennai also offers Integrated M.Tech in Software Engineering and M.Tech by Research in various specializations. MBA admission is based on the score in CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ GMAT/ CMAT or NMAT followed Essay Writing and Personal Interview.

Key Points:

• Application form for M.Tech and MCA courses can be filled online on payment of INR 1121 as application fee. There is no need to send the application form by post.
• M.Tech by Research program is offered in Internal (Full-Time), Internal (Part-Time) and External (Part-Time) modes.
• Application form for Int. M.Tech can be filled online followed by submission at VIT, Vellore. Application fee is INR 826.

VIT M.Tech by Research Selection Criteria: This criterion is decided as per the minimum eligibility criteria of the course.

• For AMIE degree holders, 40% weightage will be given to Written Test and 60% to Interview with a valid score in GATE/ UGC/ CSIR NET or NBHM.
• For Master’ s in Engineering, 40% weightage will be given to the relevant Master’s degree and 60% for Written Test or Interview.
• For M.Sc or MCA degree holders, 20% weightage will be given to Bachelor’s degree and 20% to Master’s degree followed by 60% to the Written Test and Interview.

VIT Chennai offers M.Phil and Ph.D. programs at Doctoral level. These courses are offered in Internal (Full-Time), Internal (Part-Time) and External (Part-Time) modes. Candidates need to appear for VITREE conducted by the university to secure admission in these program.

Minimum eligibility for M.Phil is Master’s degree in the relevant discipline with minimum 60% marks. For Ph.D., Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology/ Business Administration with minimum 60% marks or M.Sc. (Engineering) / M.S. (by Research).

Final Selection is done on the basis of overall merit of candidate in the previous qualifying examination at Master’s level and performance in written test followed by research output and performance in personal interview.

Ph.D. Admission Details:

• All the staff members of the Institute having the requisite minimum qualifications and one-year experience at the Institute level can work on a part-time basis for Ph.D. / M.Tech by Research or M.Phil
• External part-time candidates and Teachers working in other colleges on a permanent basis and the candidates sponsored by R&D organizations of following categories are eligible to apply to work on a part-time basis for Ph.D. /M.Tech by Research) and M.Phil. degree:
  1. Laboratories run by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR)/ Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) or Department of Space etc.
  2. Public Sector undertakings with R & D Units.
  3. Private Industries recognized by CSIR as engaged in R&D work or contributing to R&D efforts. A copy of the certificate issued by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) in this regard will be required to be produced.
  4. Medical Industry, Institutions and Hospitals with approved R&D in the relevant area. (A copy of the certificate issued by the appropriate authority to be produced).
  5. Sponsoring Institutions/ Industries should be located within 500 km.
