IIM Sirmaur Scholarships

A set of scholarships that are offered by IIM Sirmaur are categorized into two main categories, as mentioned further:-

Scholarships Type 1 include:-

  • Need Based Scholarships 

The need based scholarships are provided to meritorious students on a merit-based basis. These scholarships are awarded to the students after thorough analysis based upon factors like academic background, family’s income, student loans, previous earnings (if any) and so on. 

  • Special Scholarships for Women

With a mission of encouraging women to grow ahead into the workforce and corporate sector, there have been special quotas reserved within scholarships for women. 

Those women who wish to pursue courses in action to be into the corporate sector or workforce are eligible to apply for such scholarships.

  • Financial Assistance for Toppers / Top Performers 

The students achieving top position during their 1st year of courses are also eligible for certain scholarships as offered by the institute and other authorities. There are various forms of financial aid programmes for students based upon the overall performance and excellence during their learning. 

  • Financial Support for Reserved Categories

There are scholarships meant for reserved categories such as SC/STs as per the norms defined by the Government of India.

Scholarships Type 2

Financial support for PhD students

There are no fees for PhD students. In addition, they shall be given a stipend of INR 30,000 for 5 years to cover their living expenses.

The students shall get a deserving stipend only post analysis of their overall performance and progress during the course.

The students should maintain a 100% attendance and actively involve in course-work along with providing teaching and research assistance.

Start-Up Grants

Students who come with a start-up idea during their 1st year of study shall be provided INR 60,000 to meet expenses on purchasing hardware, software, etc.

Contingency Grant

Students shall be provided a contingency grant for 2-5 years, an annual amount of INR 25,000 to meet expenses on purchasing hardware, software, etc. 

Post-Proposal Stipend Grant

A post proposal stipend grant in addition to INR 30,000 with an increment of Rs. 2,000 i.e. Rs 32,000 as stipend per month is provided to students.

House Rent Allowance- HRA Amount

An HRA amount is provided to those students who live off-campus, with a monthly amount of INR 5000.

National Conference Grants 

National Conference grants of up to INR 20,000 per year are allowed to students from 1st year to 5th year. (As per actuals and guidelines applicable)

International Conference Grants 

International conference grants worth INR 2,00,000 over 5 years are 

provided to deserving students. (As per actuals and guidelines applicable)
