Bidhan Chandra Krishi Vishwavidyalya (BCKV) is a public university affiliated to UGC and ICAR. The headquarter of the University is situated in Mohanpur, in Nadia district of West Bengal. Apart from its main campus, at Mohanpur, the University has three regional research stations and three regional research substations. The University is involved in imparting quality education, research and training in disciplines of agriculture and horticulture.

BCKV offers B.Tech. in Agricultural Engineering at its Mohanpur campus. In order to be eligible for the course, a candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as compulsory subjects.

For admission to B.Tech. in Agricultural Engineering, BCKV takes into account the performance of a candidate in WBJEE exam. Candidates do not need to apply separately to the institute and have the option to provide preference for the course in the WBJEE application form itself. The application process for WBJEE begins in January and is an online process.

Eligibility 2021

• Candidate must be at least 17 years old at the time of application
• All the candidates must be a permanent resident of West Bengal. However for ICAR’s nominees there is no such restriction.
• Candidate must  have passed Higher Secondary examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, securing at least 45% marks(40% marks in case of SC/ST/PH candidates ) in aggregate from WBCHSE or any other recognized board of education.

How to Apply 2021?

The application process for WBJEE is conducted online. To apply for WBJEE, a candidate should follow the steps given below:

1. Visit the official website for WBJEE.  
2. Click on the “Apply” button for New Candidate Registration.
3. Register for WBJEE by providing your email id, phone number and selecting a security password.
4. Next step is to fill in correct details in the application form.
5. Pay the application fee of 500 INR either online using a credit/debit card or through Allahabad bank challan.
6. After successful payment of application fee one SMS will be sent automatically by the system at your mobile phone containing the Application No. and transaction details.
7. Upload required documents – photograph, signature, left hand thumb impression, 10^th marksheet, domicile certificate (if applicable), caste certificate (if applicable), PwD certificate (if applicable), and Income certificate (if applicable).

After successful submission, a confirmation page will be displayed. Take a printout of the confirmation page and keep it safe for future reference.
