Galgotias University - [GU]: 45 answered questions
Yes, there are PGs near Galgotias University but it can be very tough getting one for less than Rs: 6,000. My friend used to be a student of Galgotias University and he used to stay in a PG which was very close to the university.
He used to live at Stanza Living. His living experience at Stanza Living was a memorable one. The PG used to organize events for career enhancement which made life in the hostel interesting. Food provided at the PG is quite good too. The rent is made known to the students straight away.
Stanza Living offers rooms that are fully furnished, there is unlimited wifi, laundry service. In addition to that, the PG also provides facilities for transportation to and from the university.
Stanza Living is at a distance of 15 km from Galgotias University. Most of the PGs are available in Alpha, Beta, and Gamma colonies of Greater Noida. Which is almost 15 km away from Galgotias University on the Expressway. It’s hard to find any PG or personal accommodation before this and daily commute is unavoidable.
In terms of academics and placements, Galgotias University offers a good BBA degree. Almost every student gets placed through the campus drive. Galgotias University placements 2022 had the highest CTC of INR 23 LPA. The recruiters' list included Delloits, EY, Jio Digital Life, Prism Cement, etc.
Galgotias offers good infrastructure and facilities to students.

MBA offered by Amity Business School of Amity University is any day better than the MBA course offered by Galgotias University.
There are various parameters to look forward to while choosing an MBA college. Some of these important parameters are as follows.
- Placements
- Brand recognition
- Faculty
- Fee
- Batch size
- Course structure and syllabus
Here is why you should choose Amity University.
Brand Recognition:
Amity is recognized by UGC. In terms of brand recognition, Amity University is far well known with campuses in major cities around the globe such as Dubai, Lucknow, Gwalior, Mumbai, Kolkata, Jaipur, etc. offering close to 240 courses in more than 50 disciplines.
Placements:
- Amity has a placement average of 100%. Some of the major recruiters at the campus placements are HCL group, HDFC Bank Ltd., PepsiCo, American Express, Hewlett Packard, Alcatel, etc.
- Placements depend more on your capabilities than the institute. Almost all institutes offer placement assistance to the students. But securing a good job offer is entirely on you.

Amity University makes for a better choice for doing an MBA among the two mentioned institutes.
Galgotias University is definitely a better choice for a BTech degree in CSE. I have friends at both Galgotias and Amity. Based on what I heard about the CSE department at these campuses, it is suggested to choose Galgotias.
- Amity is quite costly and the quality of education is not on the same level as Galgotias. If you want a good college life and you can afford the hefty fee, go for Amity.
- Galgotias on the other hand stresses a lot on academics. There are many extra-curricular activities on campus that will help you in improving your overall personality. It also offers an exciting campus life.
- For CSE, Galgotias has maintained a good placement record over the years. It has tie-ups with many reputed IT companies that work in favor at the time of placements.
The table below gives a brief insight into the CSE program offered by these institutes.

Sharda University is much higher than Galgotias University in every particular aspect ranging from educational criteria to its infrastructure and facilities. The ratings of Sharda university are various points higher even on different ratings and as per the knowledge and experience of its students. You will get a global learning environment here in a very authentic sense.
- Sharda University is known among students to be one of the best private universities across Delhi, NCR. It is basically situated in Greater Noida with an enlarged 63 acres of the sprawling campus, having students from over 55+ countries around the world.
- It is considered even better because of the world-class facilities and highly qualified, supportive faculties that students deal with in their everyday lives.
- Sharda University on an overall basis provided more than 180 courses to its student base.
Sharda University has always focused more on modern learning techniques and a practical based approach for whichever course students are concerned about. However, before considering any points at your hand, hold vivid research about the institute you are about to go for.
Chandigarh University is any day better than Galgotias University. The faculties at CU are great. Although most faculties don’t have much experience, they are well qualified and cooperative.
The placement training regime at CU is great. Many reputed companies visit the campus for placements. Around 20-25, IT companies visit CU each year for recruiting students. Overall, in terms of placement and faculties, CU is better than Galgotias.
Thapar University is better than Galgotias University for studying. Here in the following table, you will get basic information about both universities:
| Parameters | Galgotias University | Thapar University |
| Fees | INR 55,000 | INR 13.23 Lakh |
| Average CTC | 4 LPA | 8 LPA |
| Highest CTC | 12.40 LPA | INR 43 LPA |
| Major recruiters | Cognizant, Infosys, Wipro, Ericsson, Accenture, Tech Mahindra, etc. | HSBC, TCS, Zomato, Deloitte, Whirlpool, JP Morgan, etc. |
- Galgotias University was established later than Thapar University. Thapar University also has a name in industries that will help you in placement. The education quality and level of Galgotias University are not better when compared to Thapar University.
- Thapar University has a legacy of over 60 years. It has a highly successful alumni base. The faculty base for Civil Engineering at Thapar is one of the best. A lot of companies come for campus placement at Thapar.
If you are genuinely interested in CS then go for Galgotias. However, if you make a comparison between Galgotias University and Thapar University, then the latter is a better option than the former in terms of quality of education, environment, and placement.
You can confidently say that IMSEC in Ghaziabad is a better educational institution compared to Galgotias University (GU), based on your personal education experience. The reasons why IMSEC is superior are:
- Firstly, when it comes to placements, IMSEC has a better track record compared to GU. This means that students who graduate from IMSEC are more likely to secure good job opportunities in their respective fields.
- Secondly, GU has a tendency to charge additional fees from students, which is not the case with IMSEC. This means that students at IMSEC do not have to worry about additional financial burdens during their academic years.
- Thirdly, although GU offers a diverse range of courses such as B.Tech, B.A, BCA, etc., some of these courses such as BA and BCA tend to have a large number of local students. This can sometimes lead to a disruptive learning environment.
- Finally, GU has a history of not returning the security deposit to students after they complete their course, whereas IMSEC has a clean record in this regard. This shows that IMSEC is a more reliable and responsible educational institution.
