Course Curriculum Overview:

So I like some branches out of which electrical was the one, but however, I got this branch in the JOSAA counselling. And the faculties are not very much support if you are planning to prepare for some other exams, but with respect to the subjects (course subjects), faculties will help you, not all the faculty but there will be some faculty who will help you. Student ratio: the student ratio of my department is more towards the boy side, i.e. if a class has 40 boys then there would be 20 girls. For each year there will be 2 semesters, and each semester has mid-semester exams and end-semester exams. So overall in a year, you will have two mid-sem and two end-sem. And preparation, if I would tell you, is very easy if you even sincerely study just two-three days before the exam you can easily score a very good score.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen this course because from this course I can ho for different career path. If you are in Electrical Engineering department then you can go for placement in core as well as IT companies and I think this is a very plus point. All the faculties here are very educated and their teaching style is also very nice. In a particular semester there are 2 exams: midterm and end term. And if you study well you can get a very good marks.

All the faculties are Ph.D. Holders.

I chose the course because it is beneficial to be in the circuital branches as far as the placements are concerned. The faculties are good and supportive. There will be mid-term and end term examinations in a single semester and I don't think passing them is a big task... You can do that easily.

I chose mechanical because I was interested in automobiles and machines. At that time faculty-student ratio was around 4:1 All the faculties are highly qualified and very helpful, and they chose mechanical because I was also very interested in the teaching methods. The schedule has been perfectly maintained.

I have to choose chemical engineering for the job variation of the field like there are many jobs available in the chemical engineering field. Per faculty, there are almost 5 students. I am in 2nd year so I don't know all the faculty members. But all of them are helpful. Almost all faculty member has their Ph.D. degree. The semesters are held in 4 months or 3.5 months. Depending upon the semesters. And it is not too difficult to pass the exams if you follow the lectures and listen carefully.

Course Curriculum Overview:

See I chose electronics and instrumentation because it is the best branch I could ever get with this rank because the branch is a specified branch of electrical engineering and people mainly from south India come to opt for this branch also this branch is unique because only 3-4 nits are having this branch so yes I'm glad that I've chosen this course. In my branch ratio is also good like a 3:5 ratio of girls to boys. The faculties are very friendly and very much educated they all have done their Ph.D. and have great knowledge of this branch. In the semester we have two exams one is mid-semester and the other is at the end-semester. The end semester carries 50% of the marks.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course as I got this in csab round and I think rather than go to any private college I prefer the national institute of technology Agartala for my B.Tech in chemical engineering. Here I can learn to code and enhance my skills as well along with my B.Tech in chemical engineering. In the chemical engineering faculty: the student ratio is 1:20-30. I think the professors are highly qualified enough to teach us. Our lecture is in English but sir also explains in Hindi sometimes. As it is the national institute of technology exams are mostly on time and not much difficult to pass if you attend all lectures.

National Institute of Technology - [NIT]: 25 answered questions

Ques
How is NIT Agartala in terms of academics, hostels, facilities, studies, and placements?

● Top Answer By Sugandhi Garg on 03 Oct 22

Ans
NIT Agartala is a decent option in terms of academics, hostel, facilities, studies, and placements. Academics are decent. But there aren’t many chances for research. Professors are well-experienced and supportive but most of the time you need to depend on self-study.  Being a Central Govt. college, NITA offers good facilities. The departmental library, workshops, and laboratories are well-equipped. It offers virtual class facilities. ISRO has an innovation incubation center on the campus of NITA.  The institute has a decent placement record. According to the recent highlights of NIT Agartala placements, the highest and average CTC offered was INR 36 LPA, and 5 LPA, respectively.

Ques
Which is better, NIT Silchar, NIT Agartala, or NIT Mizoram?

● Top Answer By Sudipta Ghose on 26 Jul 21

Ans
One of my close friends graduated from the CSE department of NIT Agartala. I have friends from NIT Silchar and NIT Mizoram as well. Based on what I heard from them, I will say that NIT Silchar is a better option. The reasons why NIT Silchar is better than the other two institutes are as follows. NIT Silchar is ranked better than NIT Agartala and NIT Mizoram by NIRF. NIT Silchar has a better placement record. Students mostly prefer NIT Silchar over NIT Agartala and NIT Mizoram. So, it has a better opening and closing JEE/AIEEE ranks. The difference between NIT Silchar and NIT Agartala is minimal. Both of these two are tier 2, old NITs and have similar pros and cons. NIT Silchar is marginally better than Agartala. However, the latter is catching up quite quickly. NIT Agartala has the only supercomputer in the North East. ISRO has opened an incubation center in NIT Agartala, which is the first in India. Even, few companies choose to conduct joint placement drives for NIT Agartala and NIT Silchar. So, there is not much difference between NIT Silchar and NIT Agartala. If you are getting your preferred branch at NIT Agartala, don’t choose NIT Silchar over it. As for NIT Mizoram, it is a fairly new institute and needs time to catch up with the other two institutes.

Ques
Which is better, NITA or IET Lucknow?

● Top Answer By Prakriti Mishra on 03 Aug 21

Ans
Having a friend who is a student of NITA and attended the counseling of AKTU I think I might be able to answer your question. He was in a similar situation as you are in right now. His UPTU rank was around 2800 and his JEE Main rank was around 33000. According to some research I did, I think NIT Agartala is much better than IET Lucknow in terms of both core and CSE/ IT branches. NIT Agartala has been ranked as the top 75th engineering college by NIRF. In terms of CSE/ IT branches, the placement scenario at NIT Agartala is much better compared to IET Lucknow. In terms of core branches, the placement record is also very good. The average package is around 5 to 6 lakh per annum in core branches. The top companies that recruit students from IET Lucknow include Byju's, Unacademy, Airtel, Idea, BSNL, Wipro, TCS Digital, TCS Ninja, etc. The top companies that recruit students from NIT Agartala are Google, Microsoft, and many service-based IT companies. Particulars NIT Agartala IET Lucknow Total fees 5.14 - 6.31 Lakhs 3.14 - 4.04 Lakhs Placement percent 70% 65% Highest salary INR 16 LPA INR 30 LPA Average salary INR 7 LPA INR 6 LPA Lowest salary INR 3.5 LPA INR 3 LPA But if you are a resident of Uttar Pradesh and want to study nearby your location then you can go for IET Lucknow.

Ques
Should I choose BIT Mesra or NIT Agartala for production engineering?

● Top Answer By Vineet Kumar on 20 Apr 21

Ans
BIT Mesra is hands down a better choice over NIT Agartala. A few of my friends have studied at both BIT Mesra and NIT Agartala. Following points are based on their respective experience: BIT has an amazing infrastructure, facilities, brand value, and student culture. Hostels are well maintained and are connected with High-speed internet facilities. The campus has a student-friendly ambiance and the weather at Ranchi is top-notch. The curriculum is well balanced and up-to-date with today's technological trends. Apart from studies, the institute even focuses on various personality development and career counseling programs. Many core companies visit the campus frequently and IT companies are always there for backup in the worst-case scenario so that you will not remain unplaced.  The only factor in which NIT Agartala seems better is in terms of tuition fees. BIT Mesra has twice the fee of NIT Agartala but it is justified for the quality of education, infrastructure, and facilities they provide. Quick comparison: Particulars BIT Mesra NIT Agartala Total seats offered(CSE) 33 56 Entrance exam BITSAT JEE mains Cutoff 29665-35847 200254-251247 Tuition fee 1,46,500 77,700 Placement rate 82% 75% Highest CTC offered 28 LPA 17LPA If you are truly interested in production engineering, it's better to opt BIT Mesra rather than NIT Agartala as BIT leads in every single aspect over NITA.

Ques
Which one is good Tezpur University or NIT Silchar or NIT Agartala?

● Top Answer By Ayan Pal, on 11 Nov 21

Ans
It is recommended that you go for any of the NIT Agartala or NIT Silchar over Tezpur University (TU). Here’s mentioning some points as to why it will be a better option. The major thing the NITs possess is the brand name. This name could turn out to be really beneficial for your career ahead. Overall placements at NITs are much better. Whereas TU is known only for its CSE department. Top companies like Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo, KPMG, ICICI Prudential, American Express, Barclays, etc. take part in NITs placement programs. These companies offer salary packages ranging from 12-14 LPA. The average CTC rises upto 8.5 LPA. The administration of NITs are well organized unlike TU. Tezpur University being a newer establishment has very less industrial exposure, this is certainly better in the NITs. NITs faculty is highly qualified and well experienced. If you are interested in studying CSE then only consider TU, otherwise NITs are the best at everything. Being a more experienced institute NITs can provide you the proper guidance and connections required to move forward in your career.
