How is NIT Agartala in terms of academics, hostels, facilities, studies, and placements?
Posted On - May 29, 2021NIT Agartala is a decent option in terms of academics, hostel, facilities, studies, and placements. Academics are decent. But there aren’t many chances for research. Professors are well-experienced and supportive but most of the time you need to depend on self-study.
Being a Central Govt. college, NITA offers good facilities. The departmental library, workshops, and laboratories are well-equipped. It offers virtual class facilities. ISRO has an innovation incubation center on the campus of NITA.
The institute has a decent placement record. According to the recent highlights of NIT Agartala placements, the highest and average CTC offered was INR 36 LPA, and 5 LPA, respectively.
I have a relative who passed out from NITA, however, I have updated the statistical data as of 2020:
- Faculty: As per many students, NITA has good faculties. About 65% of the lecturers are Ph.D. holders. The course curriculum is mostly up-to-date and industry-relevant. Faculty members are friendly and helpful.
- Hostels & Facilities: Facilities are very good at NITA with good libraries (one among is digital), auditorium, premium hostels, workshops & labs with no shortage of equipment, all-time medical facilities, and good sports facilities with a huge sports complex. Classrooms and labs are well-maintained.
- Placement: Placement is not very much impressive because of its remote location. The average salary is Rs 5 LPA and the highest salary was 36 LPA. The recruiters are IT companies like Infosys, IBM, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Samsung, Oracle, Info edge, etc, and non-IT companies like MuSigma, L&T, Kirloskar, Vedantu, etc.
- Students: Overall quality of students is really good. Students who are qualified for the national level entrance exam (AIEEE/JEE) and most rank in the top 10% in the respective entrance exam.
NIT Agartala is a very good option however, consider looking at the actual situation of the institution along with the reviews before getting admitted.
