Can I take up a distance MBA course from Madras university in Chennai Is it worth the money?

● Top Answer By Ankur Mukharjee on 17 Apr 22

Ans
It’s not a good idea to do a distance MBA from Madras University. It will not add much value to your profile. Rather than doing a distance MBA, you can consider doing some short courses in advanced Excel, or SQL, that will help you enhance your skills.  If you are thinking of pursuing an MBA degree, it's better to do a regular one with good placement opportunities.

You can visit Marina Beach as it is the nearest spot for hanging out in the evenings. The lighthouse is a popular spot where you can go with your friends frequently.  During the day, you can visit the theaters too. The Chepauk Stadium is only five minutes away from the university. If you feel like shopping, then there are malls nearby such as the City Center and Express Avenue. You can use the local train to go to City Center and to go to Express Avenue, there are buses. You can travel by train that goes to Mambalam if you want to do some street shopping. There are no direct trains to T. Nagar and you have to take two trains instead to reach the place. Ques

How do I get the transcripts from University of Madras if I live abroad?

● Top Answer By Vinu Elangovan on 01 Oct 21

Ans
You should use some service provider such as “Mail Transcripts” or “Clear Transcripts” for the same. These services are online and quite seamless with a very simple process.  Fill the online application in the portal and submit the required fee. Send your original documents to the university. Here the service provider will come in handy as they will do the talking with the university on your behalf.  You have to submit the notarized documents to the service provider after they come up with a solution. Then you will get your transcripts at your doorstep without much fuss.  They will send your transcript to WES/IQAS without needing your intervention. You can do all this work by yourself or through some of your acquaintances as well but it will take your precious time on unnecessary work.
