I am not sure how Kalasalingam University's education, faculty, facilities, and placements are. There are numerous options available, but if you must select between Bharat University and Veltech University, both are excellent in every way.  Whether it's about facilities, faculty, college and hostel life, security, food, Campus, Placements, and so on. You will not be sorry if you chose any of them. And, as I previously stated, these are engineering colleges, so you will learn a great deal.  The best thing is that you'll be interacting with people from all over India. Every single student from around the state is going to be on your campus. Kalasalingan University is average at best. You won’t get any advanced material for learning. A few of the department has well-experienced faculties. However, most of the faculties are freshers. According to the recent highlights, Kalasalingam University placement scenario is decent. The average CTC offered at the campus placement is 4.50 LPA. The hostel accommodation is not up to the mark, especially the boy’s hostel. The wifi connection on campus has restrictions on many useful pages. 

A few of my friends graduated from Kalasalingam University. According to them, the college offers decent academics and infrastructural facilities.  The college is accredited by UGC. Teaching is mostly examination-oriented.  Classes and examinations are conducted on time. You will need to maintain 80% attendance to sit in the examination.  Most faculties are friendly.  In college premises, students need to maintain proper dressing. Wearing jeans isn’t allowed for both boys and girls. Girls are only allowed to wear churidar and shawl. The hostel accommodation is decent. The 1st year hostels are separate. Hostel rooms have an occupancy of 3 people. The rooms have all basic amenities. The rooms and washrooms are well-maintained and cleaned regularly. Food offered at the mess is decent. 

One of my friends studied at Kalasalingam University. According to him the college was average but it had several improvements too, but still the institute did not change as expected. There are many things problematic with the college, these include: The overall infrastructure of the campus is fine, but the hostels are not well maintained.  The rooms are not hygienic enough and there is always a scarcity of pure drinking water. The food offered in the mess is also not hygienic nor healthy. The washrooms are not cleaned regularly. There is also a scarcity of bathing water. No mobiles are allowed inside the campus. Laptops can be used only for educational purposes before the classes start or post 8 PM.  To reach your block you have to walk for almost 2 kilometers. Security in the hostels are bad, often things go missing. Communication skills of professors are too bad, which is a very bad influence on the students. Therefore, it is suggested that you do not consider this institution for your studies, as it offers a very bad environment which can impact a student’s intellectual growth.

According to recent years’ statistics, the Kalasalingam University placement scenario is average. Mostly service-based companies come to recruit through campus placements at Kalasalingam University. The average CTC offered at the institute is 4 LPA.  However, to get placement in engineering fields, skills matter more. So, if you have the required skills, you can get placement opportunities. 

The reviews of the students are not usually bad. But when you compare Kalasalingam University to other more established universities, it lags a bit behind in the college rankings. But the college rankings are not given by students, so their views vary. This college really has good facilities, a huge library, green campus, etc. They also have a well experienced and highly cooperative faculty.  The college might have some faults which is why the NIRF ranking is not good. But other than that it is quite a good college with sufficient amenities.

The Kalasalingam University hostel facilities are good. For boys, there are regular hostels and pg hostels. For girls, there are only regular hostels. Rooms have an occupancy of 2 to 4. There are a limited number of rooms with attached bathrooms.  Food offered in mess is average. You will get to choose between regular South Indian Food and North Indian food. Water is a major issue sometimes. There are even days when the whole campus runs out of water. 

According to the reviews online, Ramco Institute of Technology (RIT) is said to be better than Kalasalingam University. Here are some reasons why: RIT has good infrastructure and provides all the necessary facilities to the students. They have a well experienced faculty. They have proper laboratories with all the updated machinery.  Students here have to maintain discipline, wear formals and follow the dress code. It is a very strict college. The placements are also better here than Kalasalingam. Kalasalingam University, according to their students, provides good placements to the students. More than 1600 students got placed in 2019 with an average salary package of 4.5 LPA. The highest salary package offered at Kalasalingam University is 10 LPA. They have a placement percentage of 70%. Many top recruiting companies have given the students from Kalasalingam University several job opportunities. These companies include: Zoho, Amazon, Wipro, Indian Army, GE Healthcare, HCL, IBM, TVS Motors, JustDial, Tech Mahindra, TCS and Byju’s.

According to the recent reviews, the placements of Kalasalingam University are not up to the mark.  The most visited companies are TCS, Infosys, Wipro and Tech Mahindra. They are usually the mass recruiters. They offer an average salary package of 3.5 LPA to the students. But on a side note, never keep your expectations high as very few students receive good job offers. TCS recruited more than 50 graduates consisting of engineering students and some other graduates.  The placements are said to have improved but not much. After TCS, a lot of IT companies visit like Mindtree, IBM, etc. But they do not offer a decent salary. Overall, Kalasalingam University is good considering educational facilities, infrastructure, faculties, examinations, sports activities, cultural activities, hostel facilities, hostel mess facilities, University cafeteria and the very welcoming crowd.
