Following are the Scholarship Programs which are running in the university for the students:

Government of Tamil Nadu post matric Scholarships (BC-MBC student/scholar candidates)- They should have secured a minimum of 75% of attendance in the previous year of study. The annual income of parents should be below INR 1,00,000/-.

Higher Educational Special Loan Scholarship (SC-ST Converted Christian students)- Candidates should be staying in the university hostel. An annual income of the parents should be below INR 50,000.

Government of Indian Scholarship (SC-ST Converted Christian Adi-Dravidar students)- Candidates should have secured a minimum of 75% of attendance in the previous year of study. The annual income of parents should be below INR 1,00,000 for SC and for ST candidates with an annual income below INR 1,08,000.

So if you are someone who does not require a methodical guidance and can learn on your own, BU will be fine for you.

If you are planning to pursue a B.Com degree after completing IPCC, it is suggested you do it through IGNOU.

It provides exemptions in certain subjects for those who have completed CA-IPCC through a special agreement with ICAI. Madras University also offers the same.

Though you also have to submit assignments when you do it from IGNOU and you can get B.Com there in the first year.
