I have a few friends who attended Rajasthan University. According to them, ‘EFFY’ stands for Eligible For Final Year.

You will receive the status ‘EFFY’, in the examination result if you have a back for 1-2 marks in a subject and passed the others. You will be considered eligible for the final year, but you will need to clear that subject.

Here are some tips that can help you score well in Rajasthan University examinations.

  • Study the recommended books and complete the syllabus.
  • Don’t use ‘One week series’ or ‘Passbooks’ as your primary books for preparation.
  • Go through the previous years’ questions. This will help you get an idea about the examination pattern.
  • Work on your writing skill, and keep your answers to the point.
  • Try to highlight the important portions of your answer.

Mork pages mean more marks - is a myth. The university award marks based on the quality of your answers.

One of my friends studied at Rajasthan University. Let me share some of the things he used to do to prepare for scoring good marks.

  • Though the question pattern has changed, it is necessary to go through the previous year’s question papers.
  • It is quite impossible to read every book thoroughly, that is why learning from the previous year’s question papers will be beneficial.
  • For practicals start practicing from the unit of the book which you find comparatively easier and interesting.
  • Try and pay attention to every lecture being conducted in the classes.
  • For the 20 marks questions, try writing 7-8 pages, as it will fetch you better marks.
  • Make sure you use points instead of paragraphs.

Finally, try to remain calm in stressful situations. Confidently answer your questions. While writing, do not repeat the same things over and over, maintain a tidy answer sheet and you will be good to go.
