Hostel Facilities:

There are 2 types of room. one is 3 seater and other is 4 seater. There are 4 hostels for girls and 4 hostel for boys. In accommodation, study Table, Bed, Mattress and a chair, charging socketis given for individual. but tubelights and fan is sharing. For girls, there are individual mess in each hostel but for boys,there is only 1 mess called mega mess. Recently, Quality of food improved slightly. Mess fees is 15000 Rupees per semester and refundable when you go gome. There is only offline application acceptable for hostel accommodation. and hostel fees are same for all rooms. As CUR is 85Km far from Jaipur and 45km far from ajmer so There is no walking distance rooms availabe. If you really want to stay out of campus then there is a town named kishangarh which is 25km far from university and there is bus facility from kishangarh to university as well which runs all working days. As CURaj Situated in rural area and jungle hence there are many monkeies, insects and snakes spot usually.

Campus Life:

There are many activities and festivals going through the year. Each department will organize a fest which represents their department for Example recently (Feb 2023) "Entrepreneur in Action" was 3 days Festival. 3 march is always celebrated as the foundation day of CURaj. There is a central library in Curaj which is known as the biggest library in Rajasthan. There are 2-3 magazines printed named Astitva, Udaan and Nav Drishti (Hindi Magzine). there are Projectors in every classroom. 2 Smart high-tech Classes and a High tech Auditorium in each department. There are many social clubs for dance, drama, music, book, and environment. There is an official account of curaj on Instagram, twitter and Facebook. There is an unofficial account (run by students) on Instagram named Curaj_tak (shhh which will give you inside news)

There are 8 hostels inside the campus. All students can avail hostel facility. Free wifi, 24 hours water, and electricity supply. Different mess for different hostels. Food quality is good and every day the food menu is different which means no repeated meals for a week. The hostel registration process is simple

There is numerous fest from the side of the university like the annual fest, sports fest, etc also student clubs like drama clubs, dance clubs, music clubs, and literary clubs organize different events. I have a friend who graduated from Central University of Rajasthan. His experience at the institute has been good. Classes are regular at the institute. The professors are well-experienced. The university follows a semester system. The campus is a great place to hang out with your friends. My friend used to hang out at a place called thadi. Food is available till 10 at night. You can also visit nearby dhabas or restaurants. Girls are allowed to be out till 10. There are two stadiums where you can watch kids play. Some days there can be problems regarding food and water. But overall it’s manageable. There is one non-veg counter, one canteen, one chai shop, one corporate store, and two dairy parlors on campus. Winters are cold and summers are too hot. Students usually stay on campus except for vacations. Overall, you will have a good experience on campus.

One of my friends studied at Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ). As he has availed the hostel facilities, let me share the details which might give you a clear idea. The hostel is in good condition with rooms available on a sharing basis. Each student will get a bed, a chair, an almirah, a chair, and a mattress. There is a good source of light in every room by a window, a tube light, and a night lamp. Proper stable internet connectivity is given to all. There is a common washroom in every hostel. The cleaners maintain the cleanliness of the hostel. There is a reading room in every hostel. Every hostel has a register where you can lodge your complaint. Along with all these good facilities, there are some things that might come as disappointing, these include, the shortage of water, no common room in the hostels and the mess is combined for two hostels. Some of my friends attended CURAJ. According to them, the hostel facilities are quite good. Hostel facilities are available for both boys and girls. Food offered at mass is decent. The quality of food depends on the contractors and hostel wardens. The hostel timing is from 6 am-10 pm. However, the library stays open till 12 am. You can study there. Security of the hostel is pretty strict. All the hostels have good wifi facilities. If you are a fresher, it’s best if you keep good relations with the teaching and non-teaching staff. You can take part in sports and cultural events on campus. If you have time to spare, you can visit nearby places like Ajmer, Jaipur, etc.
