Aspirants seeking admission to the Program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.

1. B.Sc. degree with minimum aggregate marks of 50% in all options, with any three of the following subjects: chemistry, biochemistry, applied botany, botany, applied zoology, zoology, environmental science, microbiology, biotechnology, genetics, applied genetics or sericulture.
2. For SC/ST candidates (Karnataka Students) a minimum aggregate score of up to 45% is acceptable.
