LPU M.Tech Admission 2024 Registration has started on October 16, 2023. Admission to M.Tech at LPU will be done through the LPUNEST entrance examination or the GATE score. LPU M.Tech Course

M.Tech or Masters in Technology at Lovely Professional University (LPU) is a 2-year professional engineering program in various disciplines. The program is divided into 4 semesters, each of six (6) months duration with both written and practical examinations conducted at the end of each semester. The university offers a 2-year M.Tech course in seventeen disciplines along with Integrated and dual degrees in eight different specializations. All the courses are available in full-time mode. Admission to the M.Tech program will be based on performance in the National Entrance and Scholarship Test, LPUNEST. In addition, students are given an option to go for 4 week study tour to the USA/ European countries or any other country. The syllabus of each specialization of M.Tech the course will have unique and diversified subjects curated to train and make the students expertise in their fields. LPU M.Tech Eligibility Criteria

Candidates taking the examination must be engineering graduates in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 60% in aggregate.
Candidates desirous of taking M.Tech admission to any of the specialized courses must qualify the National Entrance and Scholarship Test (LPUNEST) compulsorily conducted by the University itself.
The university also offers admission based on merit in GATE.

LPU M.Tech Admission 2024

The two-year M.Tech full-time program Admissions will be based on scores in LPUNEST as well as marks secured in the last qualifying examination followed by Counselling conducted by the college. Those candidates having valid scores in GATE will be also considered for scholarships. The application process steps could be done both in online and offline modes as follows:

LPU M.Tech Entrance Exam Pattern & Cutoff

Candidates seeking admission into the M.Tech program must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Maths as main subjects during 12th. In addition, students must have secured a minimum of 60% marks (general category) in B.E./ B.Tech. along with a valid score in LPUNEST. LPUNEST is an aptitude test consisting of quantitative, logical reasoning, data interpretation as well as general knowledge which are of multiple-choice type questions.

LPU M.Tech Scholarship

The categories of scholarship are based upon performance in LPUNEST (M.Tech.) The cut-off for each category will be announced along with the result of the respective schedule. The scholarship details are as per the following table:

Lovely Professional University is pretty good in all aspects such as academics, infrastructure, faculty, ranking, etc. LPU has a brilliant faculty base. Most of the faculty members are alumni of IITs, IIMs, NITs, etc. The institute has a good placement record. LPU placements 2022 witnessed the highest CTC of INR 42 LPA. Major MNCs like Godrej Consumer, CEAT, Allianz, Hindustan Unilever, etc. visit the campus placement. LPU has a good ecosystem for entrepreneurship as well. If you have a good idea, you can get seed funding from the institute. All basic amenities are available on campus. You won’t need to go out to get anything. The campus has a central library, a shopping mall, indoor sports facilities, public and private sector banks, ATMs, etc. LPU is one of the best private universities in the country. You can benefit a lot from attending the institute.

No, these universities almost have zero credibility. You have to realize the fact that the main goal of these big universities is to make money. I have heard a lot of reviews from my friends who studied at these universities. Following are lesser-known facts about these universities: During the admission, you will be told about the institute and will be assured about top-class facilities including AC in your classrooms. When you get allured in, you will face reality. Your expectations will be barely met. Most of the teaching faculties are newly appointed with most of them having no experience in teaching at all. Most of them will vanish after that semester and again, new faculties are appointed. Attendance criteria is very strict and teachers' way to control students. Even if you are five minutes late to the class, talking in class, or unable to answer a question in class, you are marked absent. There is no particular format for allotting the internal assessment or Semester end exam marks. If teachers are not that fond of you, you are definitely going to have a tough time here. Making students reappear in their exams is a new scheme of making money for these institutes. Whenever the results are out, around 80% of the class is going to fail in one or more papers. To reappear for one paper, you have to pay 5-8K. Fee demand is very high and ROI is very low, due to which the number of students drop out every year. You will be judged in every aspect, based on what you are wearing, that too if you are a girl. You will be sent back to hostels. Overall it's a no-brainer to avoid attending these institutes. Paying so much when you are getting so little in return, makes literally no sense at all. So think twice before opting for any of these institutes.

Chandigarh University is the better choice among these two. CU has a great pool of teachers. The faculties are well-experienced. You can also ask for their help any time you need it. The management on campus is great. It is one of the safest campuses in North India. Ragging is strictly prohibited on campus. Chandigarh University Placement - CU is conducting its 2022 placement drive. More than 757 recruiters have made around 7500 placement offers. The highest CTC offered this year is 52.11 LPA. But CU has a strict 75% attendance policy. You will need to attend classes regularly, as there is no poxy policy.

Major recruiters that visited the placement drive were Infosys, Byjus, Capgemini, Amazon, etc. You should note that in India other than IITs, NITs, or BITS Pilani, the other engineering colleges don’t put that much effort to enhance the skills of the students.
