LPU LLM admission 2024 is open now. Admission to LLM at LPU will be done through the LPUNEST entrance examination. The university also accepts CLAT scores for its LLM program. LPU LLM Course

LPU Master of Legislative Law (LLM) program is a 1 year academic course with 2 semesters. In this program, a student can get an overview of the Jurisdiction & constitution. Students also gain knowledge about law in depth. Lovely Professional University provides the theoretical as well as practical experience of law practice. The LLM course provides a student to acquire knowledge on law & regulation, Jurisdiction system and analysis of case laws in detail. Master of Legislative Law encourages a law graduate for research orientation and prominent teaching career.

LPU LLM Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must fulfill the basic eligibility criterias:

Applicants must pass with 50% aggregate marks in LL.B.
5% relaxation in the score can be given to North-East states and Sikkim Candidates/Defence personnel and their Dependents/Wards of Kashmiri Migrants.
10% relaxation on the score can be offered to the outstanding sportspersons.

LPU LLM Selection Criteria

The candidates are required to appear for CLAT or LPUNEST 2024.
Merit prepared with 70% weightage to LPUNEST (LLM) and rest 30% will be equally distributed on the basis of work experience, publications and statement of purpose.

LPU LLM Admission 2024

Admission for Master of Legislative Law (LLM) is through counselling based on marks obtained in LPUNEST. Aspirants have to fill out the application form on the official website of the University before the deadline choosing LLM course. Screening process of the applications will be done from the university. Shortlisted candidates will get an invitation from university for counselling and interview for that course. Follow the below metioned steps to apply for LPU LLM course:

Step 1 – Sign Up

Register onto LPU ADMIT with basic details such as Name, Mobile No., Email ID, Password, State, Gender. Email ID will act as username for the portal and password will be set by Candidate while registering on the portal.
Candidate will get a mail on his/her registered email id regarding this.
Login to the LPU ADMIT with already created username/password.

Step 2 – Apply for LPUNEST (Eligibility & Scholarship Test)

LPUNEST is an online test which acts as a gateway to program you are interested in. Admission in this program is done based on performance in LPUNEST. In addition, LPUNEST also act as Scholarship test and student can avail huge scholarship based on performance in this test.

Deposit the test fee:
- Cost of Application form and Soft copy of LPUNEST Kit is INR 1000 (for Boys) and INR 500 (for Girls).
- Cost of Application form and Printed LPUNEST Kit is INR 1500 (for Boys) and INR 1000 (for Girls).
Fill the test application form.

Step 3 – Book the Exam Slot and Appear in LPUNEST

Book the slot to appear in the test.
Appear and qualify the test.

Step 4 – Result

Get your scorecard/ rank.
Download the allotment letter and proceed for admission within 7 days after declaration of result.

Step 5 - Admission

Deposit initial payment of INR 10,000. After the successful realization of the payment:
- A Unique Provisional Registration No. will be generated and sent to your registered Email ID.
Upload the documents.

- Matriculation Marksheet
- Qualifying exam Certificate/ Marksheet
- Address Proof
Apply for residential / mess / transportation / parking facility as per the requirement.
All the submitted documents are to be verified from the originals within the prescribed timelines.

Ques. What is LPUNEST? How is it valid for an LLM course?

Ans. LPUNEST is an online Entrance Examination conducted by Lovely Professional University (LPU). The question pattern followed in the LPUNEST is 40 Questions on English, Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, Other Law Subjects. There is no negative marking for the wrong or unanswered question in the examination and each right answer brings 1 mark. Candidates would be advised to refer to the instruction manual in the email that they would receive before their examination for further details. LPUNEST is not only the test for admission to the university but also for the award of scholarship.

Lovely Professional University is pretty good in all aspects such as academics, infrastructure, faculty, ranking, etc. LPU has a brilliant faculty base. Most of the faculty members are alumni of IITs, IIMs, NITs, etc. The institute has a good placement record. LPU placements 2022 witnessed the highest CTC of INR 42 LPA. Major MNCs like Godrej Consumer, CEAT, Allianz, Hindustan Unilever, etc. visit the campus placement. LPU has a good ecosystem for entrepreneurship as well. If you have a good idea, you can get seed funding from the institute. All basic amenities are available on campus. You won’t need to go out to get anything. The campus has a central library, a shopping mall, indoor sports facilities, public and private sector banks, ATMs, etc. LPU is one of the best private universities in the country. You can benefit a lot from attending the institute.

No, these universities almost have zero credibility. You have to realize the fact that the main goal of these big universities is to make money. I have heard a lot of reviews from my friends who studied at these universities. Following are lesser-known facts about these universities: During the admission, you will be told about the institute and will be assured about top-class facilities including AC in your classrooms. When you get allured in, you will face reality. Your expectations will be barely met. Most of the teaching faculties are newly appointed with most of them having no experience in teaching at all. Most of them will vanish after that semester and again, new faculties are appointed. Attendance criteria is very strict and teachers' way to control students. Even if you are five minutes late to the class, talking in class, or unable to answer a question in class, you are marked absent. There is no particular format for allotting the internal assessment or Semester end exam marks. If teachers are not that fond of you, you are definitely going to have a tough time here. Making students reappear in their exams is a new scheme of making money for these institutes. Whenever the results are out, around 80% of the class is going to fail in one or more papers. To reappear for one paper, you have to pay 5-8K. Fee demand is very high and ROI is very low, due to which the number of students drop out every year. You will be judged in every aspect, based on what you are wearing, that too if you are a girl. You will be sent back to hostels. Overall it's a no-brainer to avoid attending these institutes. Paying so much when you are getting so little in return, makes literally no sense at all. So think twice before opting for any of these institutes.

Chandigarh University is the better choice among these two. CU has a great pool of teachers. The faculties are well-experienced. You can also ask for their help any time you need it. The management on campus is great. It is one of the safest campuses in North India. Ragging is strictly prohibited on campus. Chandigarh University Placement - CU is conducting its 2022 placement drive. More than 757 recruiters have made around 7500 placement offers. The highest CTC offered this year is 52.11 LPA. But CU has a strict 75% attendance policy. You will need to attend classes regularly, as there is no poxy policy.

Major recruiters that visited the placement drive were Infosys, Byjus, Capgemini, Amazon, etc. You should note that in India other than IITs, NITs, or BITS Pilani, the other engineering colleges don’t put that much effort to enhance the skills of the students.
