LPU B.Des Course
Lovely Professional University offers a four-year full-time B.Des degree in five specializations. LPU B.Des course is divided into eight semesters. In addition to this, LPU also offers a B.Des (Lateral) program for the duration of 3 years. LPU offers B.Des to the candidates who have studied previous examinations in English or in the English medium. Candidates belonging to North-East States and Sikkim candidates and defense personnel will get a 5% relaxation. LPU provides international exposure of 4 weeks study tour to the USA or other European countries.

LPU B.Des Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for applying to the Lovely Professional University B.Des course, students need to fulfill certain eligibility criteria laid down by the admission authority as given below:
- Students must have passed the 10+2 examination with English as one of the subjects or in English medium with at least 50% marks from recognized boards.
- 5% relaxation is given to candidates belonging to North-East states and Sikkim candidates. Also, defense personnel and Kashmiri migrations are given relaxation.
- Candidates are given scholarships on the basis of their performance in the LPUNEST or UCEED entrance exam.
- LPU accepts merit in LPUNEST/ UCEED/ NID-UG/ NIFT-UG/ NIFT B.Ftech for giving admission to B.Des programs.

Follow the below mentioned are the steps to apply for admission:
Step 1: Signup
- Register onto LPUADMIT with basic details (Name, Email ID, Mobile No., State, Gender and Password). Your email id will act as your username for the portal and the password will be set by you while registering on the portal.
- You will get a mail on your registered email id regarding this.
- Login to the LPUADMIT with an already created username/ password.
Step 2: Apply for LPUNEST
- LPUNEST is an online entrance test conducted to offer admission to programs you are interested in.
- Deposit the test fee:
- The application form and a soft copy of the LPUNEST Kit cost INR 1000 (for boys) and INR 500 (for girls).
- The cost of the application form and the printed LPUNEST kit is INR 1500 (for boys) and INR 1000 (for girls).
- Fill out the test application form.
Step 3: Book the exam slot
- Book the slot (preferred date and time) to appear in the LPUNEST Exam.
- Appear and qualify for the exam.
Step 4: Result and Seat Allotment (Online Counselling)
- Get your scorecard/ rank.
- Download the allotment letter and proceed for admission within 7 days after the declaration of the result.
Step 5: Admission
- Deposit initial payment of INR 10,000. After the successful realization of the payment.
- A Provisional Registration Number will be produced and sent to the email address you provided.
- Upload the required documents.
- The balance fee must be charged within the university's deadlines.

LPUNEST Exam Pattern
LPUNEST is a Computer-based test that consists of 100 Multiple Choice Questions, which are to be solved within 2 hours 30 minutes. Candidates will be awarded 2 marks for every correct answer and every incorrect answer there will be no negative marking. 0 marks are awarded/deducted for unattempted questions. Format of LPUNEST exam will be MCQ based in which for a question four choices are given out of which one is correct. The below-mentioned table shows the name of the sections:

I have heard a lot of reviews from my friends who studied at these universities. Following are lesser-known facts about these universities:
- During the admission, you will be told about the institute and will be assured about top-class facilities including AC in your classrooms. When you get allured in, you will face reality. Your expectations will be barely met.
- Most of the teaching faculties are newly appointed with most of them having no experience in teaching at all. Most of them will vanish after that semester and again, new faculties are appointed.
- Attendance criteria is very strict and teachers' way to control students. Even if you are five minutes late to the class, talking in class, or unable to answer a question in class, you are marked absent.
- There is no particular format for allotting the internal assessment or Semester end exam marks. If teachers are not that fond of you, you are definitely going to have a tough time here.
- Making students reappear in their exams is a new scheme of making money for these institutes. Whenever the results are out, around 80% of the class is going to fail in one or more papers. To reappear for one paper, you have to pay 5-8K.
- Fee demand is very high and ROI is very low, due to which the number of students drop out every year.
- You will be judged in every aspect, based on what you are wearing, that too if you are a girl. You will be sent back to hostels.
