LPU B.Arch Course

LPU provides a 5 years Bachelor of Architecture course divided into 10 semesters approved by COA.

LPU B.Arch Eligibility Criteria

Pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 with English, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry or Biology or Computer Science or IT or Business Study or Engineering Graphics or Informatics Practice or Technical Vocational Subject subject to qualifying NATA 2024 Or
Pass with 50% in Diploma (any stream) (3 years) (with Mathematics) or equivalent, subject to qualifying NATA 2024.
For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium or an equivalent subject.

LPU B.Arch Admission Criteria

Merit prepared with a weightage of 50% marks for aptitude tests (NATA 2024) or LPUNEST, and 50% marks in the qualifying examination, subject to eligibility criteria.

LPU B.Arch Application Process 2024

LPU B.Arch Admission 2024 is ongoing. Interested candidates can follow the steps given below to apply for B.Arch at LPU Jalandhar:

Step 1: Signup

Register on the LPU official admission portal with all the basic details required (Name, Email ID, Mobile No., State, Gender and Password).
After successful registration, you will get an email on your registered email ID.
Login to LPU ADMIT using your previously created username and password.

Step 2: Apply for LPUNEST

LPUNEST is an online entrance test conducted to offer admission to programs you are interested in. Admission to B.Arch is done based on performance in LPUNEST and Interview.

Deposit the test fee:
The application form and a soft copy of the LPUNEST Kit cost INR 1000 (for boys) and INR 500 (for girls).
The cost of the application form and the printed LPUNEST kit is Rs.1500 (for boys) and INR 1000 (for girls).
Fill out the test application form.

Step 3: Book the exam slot

Book the time slot as per your preferred date, time, and venue to appear in the test.
You can choose from the 200 cities in India where the test will be conducted.

Lovely Professional University is pretty good in all aspects such as academics, infrastructure, faculty, ranking, etc.

LPU has a brilliant faculty base. Most of the faculty members are alumni of IITs, IIMs, NITs, etc.
The institute has a good placement record. LPU placements 2022 witnessed the highest CTC of INR 42 LPA. Major MNCs like Godrej Consumer, CEAT, Allianz, Hindustan Unilever, etc. visit the campus placement.
LPU has a good ecosystem for entrepreneurship as well. If you have a good idea, you can get seed funding from the institute.
All basic amenities are available on campus. You won’t need to go out to get anything. The campus has a central library, a shopping mall, indoor sports facilities, public and private sector banks, ATMs, etc.

LPU is one of the best private universities in the country. You can benefit a lot from attending the institute.

No, these universities almost have zero credibility. You have to realize the fact that the main goal of these big universities is to make money.

I have heard a lot of reviews from my friends who studied at these universities. Following are lesser-known facts about these universities:

During the admission, you will be told about the institute and will be assured about top-class facilities including AC in your classrooms. When you get allured in, you will face reality. Your expectations will be barely met.
Most of the teaching faculties are newly appointed with most of them having no experience in teaching at all. Most of them will vanish after that semester and again, new faculties are appointed.
Attendance criteria is very strict and teachers' way to control students. Even if you are five minutes late to the class, talking in class, or unable to answer a question in class, you are marked absent.
There is no particular format for allotting the internal assessment or Semester end exam marks. If teachers are not that fond of you, you are definitely going to have a tough time here.
Making students reappear in their exams is a new scheme of making money for these institutes. Whenever the results are out, around 80% of the class is going to fail in one or more papers. To reappear for one paper, you have to pay 5-8K.
Fee demand is very high and ROI is very low, due to which the number of students drop out every year.
You will be judged in every aspect, based on what you are wearing, that too if you are a girl. You will be sent back to hostels.

Overall it's a no-brainer to avoid attending these institutes. Paying so much when you are getting so little in return, makes literally no sense at all. So think twice before opting for any of these institutes.

You can avail all the facilities on the university campus itself. There are central libraries, hospital facilities, indoor sports stadium, shopping mall, and ATMs.

Firstly, if you haven’t been able to get into Lovely Professional University, don’t get discouraged. Getting into IIMs is also a privilege. You can land decent jobs even as an IIM graduate. So just settle for the best IIM and achieve your goals.

But if you still think with one more chance you can ace the entrance exam of LPU, then take a dropout year and prepare well for it. It will be a year full of struggles but you will have to deal with it with the right spirit. Who knows you might actually get into LPA this time and fulfill your dream.

Extremely affordable. It's a government university so the only relaxation is fees.

CU has a great pool of teachers. The faculties are well-experienced. You can also ask for their help any time you need it.
The management on campus is great. It is one of the safest campuses in North India. Ragging is strictly prohibited on campus.
Chandigarh University Placement - CU is conducting its 2022 placement drive. More than 757 recruiters have made around 7500 placement offers. The highest CTC offered this year is 52.11 LPA.

But CU has a strict 75% attendance policy. You will need to attend classes regularly, as there is no poxy policy.
