The CGPA to Percentage conversion formula in BPUT is as follows.
(CGPA - 0.5) * 10
Let’s say you have scored a CGPA of 8.5. The corresponding percentage for your CGPA is -
(8.5 - 0.5) * 10 = 8.0 * 10 = 80%
Here is a video explaining the same
You can easily calculate your percentage by following the above formula.
There is no such marking system at BPUT. They provide only grades and you cannot figure out how many marks you have scored in the examination. The grading system is as follows:
|
			 Grades |

			 Marks Range |

|
			 O |

			 90-100 |

|
			 E |

			 80-89 |

|
			 A |

			 70-79 |

|
			 B |

			 60-69 |

|
			 C |

			 50-59 |

|
			 D |

			 35-49 |

|
			 F |

			 Below 35 |

Here it is mentioned that O is the highest level. Grade C is considered to be an average grade. Grade D is the passing grade for theory and Grade C is a passing grade for Practical, seasonal, project, seminar, and viva voice. A student’s level of competence is measured by grade point average as semester grade point average and cumulative grade point average.
KIIT is the best college among these, in terms of placements. Reputed companies like Accenture, Wipro, Cognizant, etc. visit the campus drive each year. Here are the highlights of KIIT University 2022 placements.
| Parameters | Statistics |
| Average CTC | INR 6.05 LPA |
| Highest CTC | INR 52 LPA |
| No. of recruiters visited | 300+ |
| Offers made | 5,000+ |
SOA (ITER) ranks next after KIIT, in terms of placements. During the 2022 placement drive, SOA Bhubaneswar offered the highest CTC of INR 42 LPA.
You need to know that collecting transcripts from BPUT is a very long and tiring process. Following are the steps to collect transcripts from BPUT:
This process is the most tiring one but you need to be very patient while handling this phase. Once you receive the transcripts, you would feel a sense of achievement and a lot of relief.
As per the new rules declared in 2018-19, you must clear a total of 179 credits (regular) and 129 credits (LE) to get your degree. If your total credits are greater than the above-said criterion, you can definitely skip the extra credit subject if you want to. For example, if you have a total credit score of 182, then you can willingly skip 182-179=3 credit subjects.
Now, suppose you have skipped one of your exams. The SGPA calculation on skipping the exam would be as follows:
|
			 Grade |

			 Score |

|
			 O |

			 10 |

|
			 E |

			 9 |

|
			 A |

			 8 |

|
			 B |

			 7 |

|
			 C |

			 6 |

|
			 D |

			 5 |

|
			 F |

			 2 |

|
			 M |

			 0 |

|
			 S |

			 0 |

The credit points per subject (CP) = Score* Credits of that subject
Credit Index (Sem)(CI)= Sum of all subjects*CP
Total credits (TC)= Total credit of each semester (Exclude the credits of the skipped subject)
SGPA=CI/TC.
This would be the new way to calculate your SGPA, once you skip an exam.

You always need to remember that if you are a student in BPUT, your syllabus is huge and the time period is very limited. You have to work on your own. Following are some tips and tricks for you to clear the BPUT exam:
You would definitely pass the exam with good grade points unless you have any attendance issues or backlogs.
