The faculty-to-student ratio is perfect. Every faculty member is highly qualified either with an MTech or a PHD degree. We get ample amount of time for our exams.

Most of the faculty members are qualified from IITs and others are also graduates from reputed universities of India. Passing the term exams is not difficult. just put in a small effort and you can easily pass the exams.

Read Full ReviewI am currently pursuing Electronics and Telecommunication. I wanted to pursue electronics so I chose this course. Also, ETC is a very promising course and has endless opportunities in the future. There are currently around 4000 students including all the courses here. The faculty:student ratio is about 1:10 here. Faculties here are sufficiently qualified and have completed their education from reputed colleges of India. The methodology adopted here is modern and new technology is being adopted to make studying more fun and easier. A year consists of two semesters, and each semester has a midsem, endsem, quizzes, assignments and practicals. The marking is quite tough here and a hard curriculum is followed.

Nowadays there are better career paths in electronics and telecommunication like more job offers. There a good students: faculty members There are about 5200 students which includes both under graduate and Ph.D. students. Most of the faculty have done Ph. D.s from different institutes and the teaching method is good. It is very easy to pass the exams and per semester it took 6 months.

The teacher-to-student ratio is 1:70 . The professors here have a minimum degree from prestigious and premium colleges like NITS and IITS and some even hold PHDs from the above premium institutes.

During the 2022 placement drive, a total of 118 companies took part in the placement drive. The highest CTC offered this year was INR 75 LPA. Companies such as DE Shaw, Microsoft, HP, Infosys, PayPal, etc. takes part in VIT Chennai placements.
VSSUT Burla is a much better option than IGIT Sarang. VSSUT, Burla - Being the Oldest engineering institute in the state, has some of the best faculty, a huge library, and a wide-spread Alumni net.

One of my cousins was in the same situation, whether to choose VSSUT or IGIT, and he chose VSSUT. If you look up the statistics you will clearly see VSSUT is much better than IGIT.
Both EE at IGIT and IT at VSSUT have the same admission process through JEE mains followed by counseling and interview. IGIT has more seats for EE than for IT in VSSUT so maybe getting admissions in IGIT will be easy in comparison to VSSUT. The placement rate is also good for both universities.

IGIT Sarang is one of the best government colleges in Orissa. It is also only one government college of Orissa that is eligible to submit an Institutional Development Proposal. The admission process for Electrical Engineering is based on the results of JEE Main and Orissa-JEE.
The NIRF ranking of VSSUT University is 119 all over India. Likewise in IGIT Sarang, the admission process for Production Engineering and Metallurgy is based on the results of JEE.
