Bangalore University MBA Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible for MBA admission at Bangalore University, candidates must fulfil the following requirements:
MBA (Full-Time)
- The candidates should have a graduate degree under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 pattern in any discipline.
- They should have completed their bachelor's degree from a recognized institute with a minimum aggregate of 50%, including languages.
- Candidates who have passed a bachelor’s or master’s degree through correspondence or Open University, from a recognized university will be exempted from the 10+2 pattern, The duration of the degree must be 2-3 years respectively.
- The candidates who have passed bachelor’s or master’s degrees in any university in a single sitting pattern are not eligible.
- The ST/SC category candidates will be provided a relaxation of 5% in the aggregate marks obtained in the bachelor’s degree.
MBA (Part-Time)
- The candidates should have a graduate degree under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 pattern in any discipline.
- They should have completed their bachelor's degree from a recognized institute with a minimum aggregate of 50%, including languages.
- Candidates who have passed a bachelor’s or master’s degree through correspondence or Open University, from a recognized university will be exempted from the 10+2 pattern, The duration of the degree must be 2-3 years respectively.
- The candidates who have passed bachelor’s or master’s degrees in any university in a single sitting pattern are not eligible.
- Minimum 2 years of full-time supervisory experience after graduation, in an organization with a turnover of a minimum of 3 Crores and employing more than 50 employees.
- If a candidate is a teaching/ non-teaching staff working in the university or affiliated colleges, then 2 years of full-time teaching or 5 years of administrative experience is essential.

Bangalore University MBA Admission Criteria
- Candidates seeking admission to MBA program must appear for the PGCET or KMAT/ MAT/ CAT entrance examination.
- Candidates will be shortlisted based on scores obtained in the entrance examination.
- Shortlisted candidates will then be called for a group discussion and personal interview round.

Bangalore University MBA Course Details
The MBA program offered by the university is of two types, full-time and part-time. The curriculum is similar for both.
- In the first year, all the courses will consist of 4 credits, except the project work or managerial skill, which will be of 2 credits.
- All these courses will be covered in a total of 60 hours of teaching which will be divided by offering 4 hours a week.
- In the second year, the students will have to choose their specialization i.e, Finance, Marketing, HR, Healthcare management, BFIS, Startups and SMEs Management, Business Analytics, and Logistics & Supply Chain Management.
- Based on the specialization, the students will have different subjects in semesters 3 and 4.

Bangalore University MBA Course Structure
- Duration: The course is for 2 academic years, divided into 4 semesters.
- Course Schedule: Each subject taught in the first year will be covered in a total of 60 hours of teaching. The specialization subjects taught in the second year will also be covered within 56 - 60 hours of teaching. Each of these subjects will be given 4hrs a week.
- Elective Courses: Specializations are chosen in the 2nd year. The specializations offered by the institute are Finance, Marketing, HR, Healthcare management, BFIS, Startups and SMEs Management, Business Analytics, and Logistics & Supply Chain Management.
- Program Structure: The program will be covered within 16 weeks or more, each with a minimum of 90 actual working days of instruction in each semester and 2 - 3 weeks of examination.
- Reservation Criteria: There are reservations for SC, ST, and other backward communities, and physically challenged candidates will be as per the Government of Karnataka Orders.
