Ahmedabad University Need-Based Scholarship

Ahmedabad University Need-Based Scholarships offer diverse career opportunities and education for students belonging to different social backgrounds. 

  • A total of 80% of students receive support from Ahmedabad University to minimize their educational costs. 
  • Under this scholarship scheme, a partial or full waiver of the tuition fee is granted to the candidate. 
  • The student is eligible for a full and partial tuition fee waiver if the annual family income is up to INR 5,00,000 and INR 10,00,000 respectively. (Not applicable for B.Tech Students)
  • The university will conduct an assessment of the family income, expenditure pattern, and assets and a personal visit to the family residence/business by an independent audit agency before the final decision. 
  • In case a student qualifies for an Academic and a Need-Based Scholarship, the Academic Scholarship will be awarded first, and the Need-Based Scholarship will include the balance (if any).

Ahmedabad University Ahmedabad Fellowship

The fellowship will offer a 100% waiver of the tuition fees and it can be renewed annually for Bachelors/Integrated Masters Programmes. 

  • Fellowship with Student Housing will be given to the top five students who are residents in cities that are outside Gujarat. 
  • After a holistic assessment of the candidate, these fellowships are awarded to the Bachelor and Integrated Masters Programmes at the time of admission.

Ahmedabad University Masters and Doctoral Programmes Financial Aid

  • Master of Arts in Economics & Master of Science in Quantitative Finance: Students pursuing the course is eligible for a tuition support of INR 75,000 per year. Also, students who require extra financial support have the option to apply for a Fellowship. This entails taking on a Teaching Assistantship role under the guidance of a faculty member. Opting for the Fellowship increases tuition support to INR 1.25 lakh per year which reduces the tution fee by 50%. 

  • Master of Management Studies in Heritage Management: Students have the option to enroll in a fellowship program of INR 50,000. As part of this program, they are need to undertake Teaching Assistantship under the guidance of a faculty member. Under this, their net fees amount to INR 1.25 lakh per year. 5 deserving shortlisted candidates will recieve “CHM Bursary" of INR 50,000 per year and the effective fee will be INR 75,000 if the candidate opt for a Fellowship as well. 

  • Master of Technology (Composites, Computer Science and Engineering): The students pursuing a Master of Technology (Composites, Computer Science and Engineering) have the option to enroll in a fellowship program of INR 50,000 and the effective fee will be INR 1.25 LPA.

  • Doctor of Philosophy: Ahmedabad University provides complete tuition fee exemption and financial assistance to doctoral candidates. This support may come in the form of a University Fellowship, University Assistantship, or funding from sponsored projects. The University Assistantship entails a monthly stipend of INR 40,000 in addition to a tuition fee waiver, while the University Fellowship offers a monthly stipend of INR 50,000 along with a tuition fee waiver.
