One of my friends pursued his BBA degree from Ahmedabad University. His review regarding the institute is as follows.  Regardless of the course, you are pursuing, you need to stay engaged in your studies throughout the year at AU. You can’t mug up your books right before your examination and score well. You will have quizzes, case studies, presentations, etc. almost before every class. It offers a wide range of courses. You will need to make your own timetable for the subjects that you choose. The faculty of the institute is helpful. You can talk to them about your area of interest.  There are many clubs that you can join. Every Wednesday, different club events take place. 

Nirma University is better as compared to Ahmedabad University. Here are the reasons why. Curriculum: Nirma University's curriculum is designed by keeping in mind the industry trends. The syllabus is also updated regularly.  Faculty:  Most faculty members have their Ph.D. degrees. They have years of experience in teaching. You can publish your content under their supervision and contribute to the research community.  Campus:  The university campus is vast and full of greenery. Placements:  The placement statistics for Nirma are quite good. The placement average for the university is around 90%. In the last placement drive, the average CTC offered by the institute was 8 LPA.  Other than academics there are various clubs, societies, and co-curricular activities, in which you can take part. 

For ICT, Ahmedabad University is the better choice. It is an old reputed university. The faculty base for ICT is better there. Along with delivering quality academics, it offers decent placement opportunities. In the recent campus drive, the highest and average CTC offered was 15 LPA and 4 LPA.  One of the perks of joining AU is that you will get to choose any course from any faculty with your core courses, be it Management, Commerce, Arts, Life Science, etc. 

The decision depends upon your area of interest. Talking about IET, it is one of the best colleges and mainly focuses on project-based learning and you will get projects for every subject. Also, the faculty is very experienced and highly qualified. Most of them are from foreign universities. In mechanical there are best faculties and labs. DDU is a government Institute. IT field of DDU as I have heard is good and has good faculties. If you love coding and algorithms you should opt for it, or if you love moving things and analyzing them you should opt for IET. No, Ahmedabad University isn’t affiliated with GTU. It is a private university with its own course curriculum and faculty base. The university also has sub colleges in different fields. AU offers all-around development to the students through academics and extracurricular activities. It has collaborated with many top universities of the world. There are faculties and teaching assistants to help you out with your studies. It also has various clubs. 

Ahmedabad University offers world-class facilities. It has also collaborated with foreign universities. The university follows project-based learning. It also conducts research seminars for the students. However, Marwadi University has more than 500 faculty members who are experts in their respective fields. More than a hundred of them have degrees from institutes like the IITs, NITs, BITS, VIT, and even Stanford University. It offers more than 50 courses under 12 programs. Among LD College of Engineering and Ahmedabad University, the former is better. If you check the Admission Council for Professional Courses (ACPC), you will see the competition for admission in bachelors degree at LD is more compared to Ahmedabad University. The facilities offered at LD are also better. You should do your own research regarding the institute before choosing.

This is an unfair comparison for various reasons and one of those is legacy. Manipal University is over 67 years old and has produced many great students.
