Course Details

IP University BASLP admission 2024 is open now. The last date to apply is March 31, 2024. Interested candidates can apply online on the official website @ipu.ac.in. The application fee is INR 1500. Admission to BASLP at IPU will be based on scores obtained in the IPU CET or CUET examination followed by counselling. IPU CET 2024 will be conducted between April 27 and May 14. The course is full-time for the duration of four years.
The course is focused on preparing professionals for treating speech and hearing disorders.
Students are expected to acquire theoretical and practical knowledge in the subjects.

IP University BASLP Eligibility Criteria

The candidate should have passed a 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board of education.
The candidate is required to have scored a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and should have passed in each subject separately.
A candidate is required to have passed in English (core or elective or functional) as a subject of study in the qualifying examination.

IP University BASLP Admission Process

Admission to BASLP at IPU is based on scores obtained in the IPU Common Entrance Test (IPU CET). The university also accepts Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) scores for admission. The first preference will be given to IPU CET and national-level test scores for respective programs and CUET scores will be given second preference. Candidates who qualify the entrance exam will be called for counselling. Based on the cutoff released by the university, candidates will be allotted seats.

IP University BASLP: How to Apply?

Fill the online application form available on the university’s website.
While submitting the application form, candidates have to pay a fee of INR 1,500 and an additional processing charge and taxes.
Candidates have to appear for the common entrance exam for admission to the course.
Once the results of the entrance test are out the candidates will be called for mandatory document verification followed by counselling.
The selected candidates are required to pay their course fee to confirm their seats in the course.

This course is designed with a thrust on understanding human anatomy. Acoustics, linguistics and speech patterns will be taught to students. Candidates have the theory and practical lessons and the evaluation will be based on these.

One of my friends had recently joined Thapar University and here are some of the facts about it that make it stand out among others. One of the best streams to pursue at Thapar University is CSE. The placements at Thapar are really good and most of the CSE students get placed. Some teachers are not very good with their teaching methods. One of the best professors at Thapar is Mannek sir, he is a mechanics teacher. One of the best things you will encounter while studying at Thapar University is the senior mentors. They are like siblings and help you with everything. The infrastructure is not very well developed yet, there are few buildings with air conditioning but unfortunately not all buildings. There is various student societies present which you can also join. Here are some reasons why: More focus is given on theoretical preparation than the practicals. Students often complain about the incomplete training. If you wish to learn about your course, it will not provide you with the satisfaction. Because mostly students tend to mug up last year’s questions and answer books. Scoring is easy even if you study only 2-4 days before the exam. The same 10-15 questions are repeated every year. If you want to build yourself, you mostly have to do it all on your own, because the college won't make much effort. Placements here are average. Only the top 10 students are usually given access to sit for the placements. Therefore a lot of students do not get the proper opportunities to get a job. If you are willing to work on your own and are confident enough, then only opt for IP University, Delhi.

One of my friends studied at YMCA while my sister studied at IPU. I can share their experiences and let's see who won: YMCA receives a lot of good companies each year. IPU receives IT firms most often with a package of INR 3.25 LPA. The only highlight of IPU is Microsoft. As a CS or IT, you will find it to your liking. In YMCA Amazon, Maruti, Adobe, Snapdeal, Yamaha, and many more reputed companies come to hire B.Tech graduates. Placement is what matters to most, however, it's not the only parameter of comparison but because YMCA tops in placements which is an essential factor nevertheless, it wins!
