Bihar Agricultural University is a state university situated in Bhagalpur, Bihar. The university was established in 2010 and is approved by ICAR, UGC.

BAU offers B.Tech, B.Sc and B.V.Sc & A.H. courses at the UG level and offers M.Sc and M.V.Sc at the PG level. Bihar Agricultural University also offers Ph.D. course at the Research level.

Candidates must have passed 10+2 examination or equivalent in PCM/B from a recognized board to pursue any of the UG courses.

Bihar Agricultural University UG Admission 2023: B.Tech, B.Sc., B.V.Sc. & A.H.

Bihar Agricultural University offers B.Tech in one discipline, B.V.Sc & A.H. and B.Sc in two disciplines with an intake of 335 seats at the UG level.

Students who wish to pursue UG courses from the university must have passed 10+2 examination or equivalent with PCM/B as subjects from a recognized board.

Admission to 85% of seats under the UG courses will be granted based on the score in BCECE. Whereas for 15% of the seats, admission will be offered on the basis of All India Entrance Examination conducted by ICAR.

Key Points:

Candidates must be of minimum 17 years of age as on July 1, 2021 to apply for B.Tech course in the University.
The minimum age to apply for B.Sc and B.V.Sc & A.H. courses is 17 years on or before December 31, 2021.
Students who have passed ISC examination with Physics, Chemistry and Agriculture shall not be eligible for admission to any of the UG programs in the university.

Bihar Agricultural University PG Admission 2023: M.Sc. and M.V.Sc.

Bihar Agricultural University offers M.V.Sc. course in 11 disciplines and M.Sc program in 11 disciplines with an intake of 107 seats at the PG level.

Candidates seeking admission to PG courses in the university must hold a Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline from a recognized university with an aggregate of at least 60% marks.

Admission to PG degree programs will be done through an Entrance Test conducted by the university by calculating the marks of Entrance-cum-academic performance in the following manner:

Bihar Agricultural University Ph.D. Admission 2023

BAU, Sabour offers Ph.D. program in ten disciplines with an intake of 12 seats at the Research level.

Students must hold a Postgraduate degree in relevant discipline from a recognized university with an aggregate of at least 70% marks to seek admission to Ph.D. program.

Admission to Ph.D. courses will be done through an Entrance Test conducted by the university by calculating the marks of Entrance-cum-academic performance in the following manner:

Ques. How is the seat allocation done for admission to the Ph.D. program at BAU?

Ans. 75% of the seats are allocated based on the marks secured in the entrance exam. The remaining 25% of seats are filled based on the national level ICAR exam.
