I chose ECE because I was always passionate about studying the communication sector along with electrical instruments. Faculty to student ratio is roughly 20:1 which is pretty good. Most of the faculties hold a Phd degree and are pretty qualified Exams were difficult but not so much for people who would follow regular classes and take notes.

Ques
Which is better for CSE, Techno India or the Heritage Institute of Technology?

● Top Answer By Indraneil Mondal on 17 Sept 21

Ans
Heritage is a very good institute if pursuing CSE is your goal. If we talk about the ranking of the private institutes in West Bengal, then IEM (Institute of Engineering and Management) is the best in the state, followed by Heritage Institute of Technology. Techno India Salt Lake is third in the ranking. Heritage Institute of Technology will give you a lot of opportunities.  The coders in the institute can compete with some of the best in the country.  The environment of the place is also very good.  It is superior in terms of management, labs, infrastructure, faculty, labs, etc. Categories CSE at Heritage Institute of Technology Course Fee 4.04 lakh Placement Percentage 80-90% Highest CTC 24 LPA Average CTC 16 LPA The companies that visit the institute are Microsoft, Amazon, Intel, Capgemini, Oracle, etc. TCS is the biggest recruiter of students graduating from Heritage.

Ques
If I want to go into Techno India or the Heritage Institute of Technology of West Bengal through the management quota then how much money may I be asked to pay?

● Top Answer By Tilottama Das on 15 Sept 21

Ans
Taking donation money depends on how many seats are available. The donation fee will be high for the streams that have a lot of demand. However, if there are seats that are vacant, you can try spot counseling and you will not be charged at all for this except for the fee required for admission. The money that you might be asked to pay can vary depending on the financial situation of the candidates. Getting in touch with the management facility will help you in getting a clear idea. Keep in mind, however, that people who opted for the management quota had to pay huge amounts of money. Almost 10% of the seats were kept aside for management quota candidates and they are given on the basis of ‘first come first’. Some people got admitted without paying anything at all except for the admission fee and some had to pay huge amounts of money to get in. Another thing about getting admission through quota is you may lag behind your peers. Even if you do get admission, a lot depends on you as well.

Ques
Which is better for ECE, Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Techno India Salt Lake Sector V or Haldia Institute of Technology?

● Top Answer By Dhriti Pal on 21 Sept 21

Ans
All three colleges, Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Techno India Salt Lake Sector V, and Haldia Institute of Technology are very popular colleges to pursue ECE. After careful consideration, I would say that Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering (DSCE) is the best among the others mentioned. Dayananda Sagar is now an autonomous college and there are a lot of facilities available for the students.  The placement opportunities available are excellent. Many reputed companies visit the campus for interviews. Being located in Bangalore, it has a location advantage.  Industry visits, seminars, and internships are plenty. This can be a very good opportunity to gain some work experience and knowledge.  Categories ECE at DSCE Placement Percentage 12 lakh Highest CTC 10-12 LPA Average CTC 6 LPA Recruiting Companies Wipro, TCS, Aditya Birla, Capgemini, etc. Hence, Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering is a better college than Techno India and HIT as it offers better placements and facilities to the students. Also, as the college is in Bangalore and staying there could be expensive. The living expenses and travel costs are extremely higher than usual. So prepare accordingly.

Ques
What should I choose for Cse Techno India or Burdwan University?

● Top Answer By Rekha Sawat on 28 Sept 21

Ans
I have friends from both the University Institute of Technology Burdwan and Techno India Salt Lake, and according to their opinion, the latter is slightly better.  Burdwan University:  University Institute of Technology, Burdwan is a government-run engineering institute. The university is affiliated with the University of Burdwan and has NBA accreditation.  It charges around 71,000 annually. The infrastructure of the institute is good. It has a huge campus. Library, playground, and hostels are on campus.  The placement record is average. According to the recent placement highlights the highest CTC offered at the institute is 12-20 LPA, while the lowest stays in the range of 5-6 LPA.  The industry exposure you will get on campus is also quite limited. As it is located pretty far away from the major industrial sectors located at Kolkata. Techno India: Techno India Salt Lake is a private college affiliated with WBUT. The total course fee at the institute is around 4.84 lakhs.  It does not offer hostel facilities. Additionally, the campus is smaller in size.  However, the academic environment at the institute is pretty commendable, unlike many other private engineering colleges.  The placement percentage is about 80% to 90%. The average CTC offered is around 4-5 LPA. While the highest CTC offered is 12-14 LPA.  The industrial exposure offered is average.  It hosts the second-biggest tech fest only following IIT Kharagpur. It is situated in the center of Section V. After having a closer look at all the prospects of both the institutes, it is best to opt for Techno India Salt Lake, as per what has been witnessed recently.

Ques
Is Techno India University better than IITs?

● Top Answer By Bratoti Sarkar on 24 Aug 20

Ans
IIT is a brand that is more than 60-70 years old and the reputation of IITs for engineering is unmatched. So, it might not be fair to compare IITs with Techno India University as TIU was established in 2002. The expertise, global exposure and hands-on technical training in IITs are unparalleled. If a student gets an opportunity to study in an IIT, be it anywhere, the IIT tag itself is sufficient to get you noticed by the industry professionals. Techno India University may not be as popular as the IITs, but it is a reputed institution under WBUT. Techno India University is notable for its engineering department. Their school of engineering prepares students with theoretical and practical knowledge about the subject and provides industrial training to enhance the skills of the students. Students involve themselves in workshops, seminars, and interdisciplinary research. Techno India University takes admission for B.Tech courses through WBJEE, JEE Mains, Techno Joint Entrance Examination whereas IITs take admission through JEE Advanced. As a result, there is a huge difference in the student crowd at these institutes. Students from Techno India University may get job opportunities similar to an IIT graduate but unlike the former, the latter has a higher percentage of getting a larger salary package offered to them. Not only in engineering but in other fields too. The top companies visiting IIT during their placement program are Microsoft, Qualcomm, Amazon, Morgan Stanley, Adobe, Accenture, Samsung, Google, TATA, ONGC, Strategy and Carin, Goldman Sachs, etc. They offer an average salary package of 10-15 lakhs per annum where Companies visiting Techno India University offer an average salary package of 3.5 lakhs per annum. Some companies taking part in the placement process are Byjus, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, IBM, etc. The total fee in IIT is around 9,50,000 and that of Techno India University is 3,56,800 for a BTech. course.
