Likes
- The faculty is very good at their subjects and very approachable.
- The extra curricular activities is extensive and fun and even compulsory which helps us improve our talents .
- We have social involvement programs where we have to work in orphanages etc to gain more exposure
Dislikes
- The dress code is extremely strict and unnecessary
- The class timings are a little hard to manage
- Often bombarded with a lot of work at the same time making the schedule really hectic.
Remarks :
I applied to a lot of colleges in Pune and even in Mumbai . For eg Ferguson college , Sophia college , wilson college. I chose this college over others because of the course structure and the reviews from the ex students. I got rejection from some Central Universites because of my score in cuet but i got into most of them . The admission for bmm is an entrance test. You can only get admission if u pass the entrance test with the cut off mentioned for each quota.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Some aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course is my intrest in the subject and also the efficiency of the faculty in Xavier's . The curriculum is very practical based and helps us for real world applications and offers internships that prepares us for the corporate world . Sometimes the timings of the course are hard to cope up with . The only improvement could be in the timings and the hectic schedule.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The year wise fees paid last year is 52 thousand and the same amount this year. The fees seems to be constant and does not increase or decrease yet. My fees was slightly less last year since i belong to the Christian minority quota in Xavier's . My other classmates in the general quota have 3 thousand more than me . Bmm is a self financed course and hence the fees is a little high whereas the other aided courses have fees as low as 12 thousand for both the semesters.
Campus Life :
The annual college fest is malhar which happens every year on the second week of August. The fest is known nationwide and attracts a lot of viewers across the city of Mumbai. Malhar is known for their A-list celebrity guests, speakers and the last day concert which is always performed by some top artist, last year being A.P Dhillon. For books avilable in library, it's vast and numerous.
Faculty :
There are around 300 faculty including all the courses in our college. The faculty is extremely approachable and experienced faculty and we learn a lot from our teachers . Xavier's has one of the best faculty. Kishu sir , Aditi mam ( guest lecturer) , Kasturi mam , Perri mam were the best faculty. They taught me a lot of things and inspired me in various ways . There are some guest lecturers who I don't like sometimes but nonone particularly. There are 3 exams . And the end sems r a bit difficult. Hardly 2 or 3 kids fail or miss the exam due to which they have to give kts later. The course curriculum is very relevant.

Course Curriculum Overview :
The courses are nicely designed. Under the new NEP system we are getting all aspects of the curriculum with theoretical and practical learning. With subjects like skill course and enhancement course, we get a good viewpoint to look the world from. It prepares students to widen their lenses and gives opportunities in fields outside their core subjects as well.

The extra subs eg iks oe etc are quite different from what we usually get in other colleges which is really interesting some of them have lengthy curriculums. The timings of the breaks and lecs could be a little better.
