Likes
- It is an open university so I can do other things as well for my personal development.
- There are classes before exams for preparation.
- The exams are held in some prestigious universities providing many facilities.
Dislikes
- Can’t really socialise because it’s an open university.
- You might not expect any sort of college life.
- The teachers are not well versed in their own subjects they teach.
Remarks :
I applied to alot of universities like Delhi University, OP Jindal, Amity university, and Christ university and alot of universities but I thought of opting for IGNOU because it catered to my needs such as affordability and availability.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I have always liked political science as a subject in school and wanted to opt for it in college as well. The curriculum in this university looked quite fascinating as i can do lot of other things as well for my personal development as an individual and can also focus on studies unlike other universities.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The total fee structure includes just the tuition fee there's no other fee required other than the examination fee. There is no hike is fee structure and it is always the same for every year. I am not aware of any scholarships provided by the university.
Campus Life :
There are no annual or technical festivals conducted or celebrated in IGNOU as it is an open university and it provides distance learning courses only. But the study material and books are provided for free from the university itself to the students
Faculty :
The student ratio to faculty members is not quite good as there are many students comparative to the professors or teacher. The semester is six months and there are exams after every semester. There are total six semesters for my course.

Course Curriculum Overview :
course curriculum is well designed and covers most of the important topics. It helps in building good basics but I feel more practical exposure and industry related subjects should be added. Exams are held every semester with internals and if you study regularly they are not too difficult to clear.

The course of history includes 3 subject per year. Which covers most of the world and countries and their history. It might help history enthusiastic person to learn about the World. The areas to be improved are to take students on educational trips more often. The exams are conducted twice a year, once a semester. And their difficulty level is not that hard but there's less time to write too much content

Placement Experience :
There are placement cell in our college that is really active but that also depends from course to course not all The courses have placements. But recently internship/research work/community outreach options have been given to us instead of SEC.

As my course is SOCIOLOGY HONOURS this course needs a lot of field work which is not properly conducted by the college and i think that should be changed but still because of the professors it becomes easy to make the most out of the disciplines that you are choosing.

Curriculum of course is great. They have taught us great things through great methods. Earlier I used to hate mathematics but now I love mathematics because of curriculum. It has raised my more interest in the course. Although I don't believe it prepares for real world . As all these don't apply in real life for this internship opportunities are required.

I love literature so u choose it. It teaches you alot and you have to give presentation and all so it helps in public speaking. More digital and seminars to be included. Difficulty level is high. Also marks are not given much in du.

The college always updates the students about the exams and classes in advance, and when the classes will start, when the internal assignments will begin, all the details are provided to the students. I chose the course after looking at the college curriculum which keeps providing it.

Delhi University in manys course available and above Hons course in minimum seath 60 students and maximum seat 120. 60 seat in available in hindi honrs like course. And 120 like political and b.com courses.
