- I like the friendly behaviour of our faculty ,the environment in the college as it is located in the mountain of Jhalukbari and as Assam engineering college is one of the oldest government college of NorthEast India
- Greenery scenery makes the college more beautiful
- Placement are also decent in our college every year more than 50% students get placed
Dislikes
- Our college campus needs a proper boundary
- Roads should be made better as there are plot holes in it
- Many cars pass by our college road that's is nt good even some bus
Remarks :
Assam engineering college is one of the oldest government college of NorthEast India since 1995 and it's is one of the best in Assam many of the students dream of getting into this college and I'm a lucky one I got seat here . I used to study in CIT Kokrajhar but due to high placement ratio here I came here . I gave CEE exam and in that exam I cleared the cutoff for ST and got admission here CUTOFF ARE 1-500 RANK GENERAL 1-2000RANK STP 1-5000 RANK STH 1-1800 RANK SC 1-800 RANK OBC NCL
Course Curriculum Overview :
Mechanical Engineering in Assam engineering college is one of the best branch as the faculty and placement over this branch is pretty good. The teachers make us company ready and teaches us the basic rules tos revive in the outside world too. One can opt for some other interest like AutoCAD and design learning to improve in this field. Timing for exam is also good they give us a week time to prepare for exam .
Internships Opportunities :
As I'm a 2nd year student I will be doing internship from this end sem itself. But as I have heard our Training and placement cell help us to do the internship as they will send group of students in different companies like IOCL ,railway etc to do internship.
Placement Experience :
Placements are preety impressive in our campus. Students get to set in placements from 7th semester. The companies that visit in our college are some of them are Tech Mahindra,Tata ,IOCL they recruit 10-15 students every year from each dept from which they want they offer 7-15 lpa. Highest package is 22-25 lpa every year and avg is 4-5 lpa Im preparing for competative exams after degree
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fees structure for our college early is nearly 20k and for 4 years including the hostel dues it's almost 280000.It has increased a bit earlier the college fees yearly was just 11-12k it has increased a lot in a way. All the category students weather it's ST or general all payment the same amount. Various caste stududnt can apply for various scholarships like NSP St ,NSP general ,poor fund scholarship and for girls Pragathi scholarship.
Campus Life :
Annual fest of our college is Pyrokinesis it is a big event in Guwahati as many of the big names of Assam comes in this festival and even in the last night bollywood playback singers come it's is a 3 days event which held in February. We have got a big field and over there many small and big cricketa nd football tournament happens between different hotels as we have got 9 hostels . Yes students run clubs like robot club ,chess club ,acting club etc and robo club has won many competition in Assam NITs and IITG too
Hostel Facilities :
In hostel we are given 3 bed we share a room with 3 people we have 3 fans and 3 table . Food of the mess is not the best but still good in breakfast sometimes we are given bread jam ,suji and chowmin in afternoon we are given Dali ,sabji and rice and in night it depends on the day we are served rice with Dali and fish curry or egg curry or chiken curry. Registration for hostel id done during the admission, hostel is affordable as the mess dues monthly is just 2600 rs. The locality to rent a PG is Sundarbari.
Faculty :
Many of our Mechanical Engineering Professor are IIT graduates and almost all have done Doctorate in their field . Faculty members are strict towards studies and they also guide us and help us in their best way. I like all of them they do a great job our Theory of Machines teacher or its our Basic thermodynamics sir all are equally good.

The placement at your college is strong, with about 80% of students getting placed in companies like Oil India, Bajaj, Amazon, Vedantu, and Byju's. As for my plans, i intend to take the GATE exam to deepen on my knowledge in my branch, mainly for research purposes,the students of 7th sem are eligible for the placements ,the highest package of our college was around 2500000 and the average package is around 500000.

Placement Experience :
From 7th semester (4th year) students become eligible for campus placements Tata ,Tata motors ,Vedantu and IUCL are some of the companies that visited our college recently. The highest package in our college was 25lakhs per annum and the average package is 4.5lakhs per annum. 55-60% of students get placements every year. I am aiming for campus placements after getting the degree and also if not i will try for entrance exam such as Gate to pursue further studies.

Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is rigid and at times very diffuse. But if you enjoy it then it may be easy for you.The professors provide notes and ppts so its not that difficult to pass the exams. The real world application of the labs is very prominently seen

From 6th sem student becomes eligible for placements. All big it companies visits the college like Google, Microsoft , Dell, ebuillent , JPMC , etc. Highest package is around 2.2 CR per annum , AVG is around 35 lpa. Profiles are SDE, QR , ML, AI etc 90% students get placed each year. My plan is to become an Ai ml engineer

Placements are very good infact placements is the highlight of our college . Anyone gets placements in 7th sem or sometimes even in 6th . A lot of companies hire from here like TCS, Infosys , Wipro etc.

Placement Experience :
From 7 semester the students are eligible for campus placement but in offcampus the student can apply for the interview from 5th sem onwards. The companies visites like tata, oild india, vedantu etc many big big companies visits the college every year in search of students in the college. The highest package taken this time is about 21 lpa from the oil comapang which is from the mechanical and the average is 10 lpa in CSE the highest package is 12 lpa this year from the it sector and the average is 6 lpa and the chemical got highest package of 15 lpa from the ongc wtih average of 7 lpa. Every year more then 75% student get placed in the various companies. After getting the degree i will do job on an private companies thats probably the it sector companies and after that i will start an startup bussiness for side bussiness

Placement Experience :
The placement in Assam engineering college is very good. Student are trained for placement every year. Placement for students are eligible from 6th semester. The companiss include indian oil, mahindra company, tata company, chemical industry and many more etc. The highest package in Aec was offer around 16lpa.The percentage of getting placement in Aec is he should have to clear all backlogs. My plan are to focus on govt sector

In 7th semester students become eligible for placement.If you have maintained a good cgpa throughout the semester then your chances for placement are more .There are environment for gate preparation. And you can also prepare for cat exam or any other government exam.60 percent students get placed with a decent package. I am currently preparing for gate exam .i will go for further studies. In cse branch highest package is 39 lakh Ece branch highest package is 28 lakh Highest package of my branch is 10 lakh Average package of all engineering branch is 5 lpa
