- It offers good placement opportunities for BBA students, with various companies visiting the campus for recruitment. The highest salary package offered
- There are a lot of research opportunities,extra curricular activities and helps to create a strong network
- There are supporting professors,diverse community,Good environment,good location, alumini networks,greats events and so on.
Dislikes
- It is very strict,acts just like a school and very over punctual with the timings.
- The division is apparent and only deepens in the years to come. (I would personally advice you to stay out of this no sense fight).
- Participate in the (non-sense) workshops they say. It will enhance your chances in the placements. Obviously, many fell in the trap.
Remarks :
IEM Kolkata WBJEE Cutoff 2024 for admission to BTech (Bachelor of Technology) courses will be concluded after 3 rounds. Determining the last-round cutoff of the previous year, 2023, the closing rank for Computer Science and Engineering was 6388 while for CSE in Artificial Intelligence, it was 4361.

Yes, it is a good institute that provides Zero tolerance to ragging, good placement, a spacious campus for the students, and dedicated faculties. The environment in the institutes inspires students to work hard for coping up with the health competition.
Faculty :
The faculty at IEM is really good. I can say that because I have seen people taking tuitions even in college, but when I studied here, I didn’t really feel the need for one. If you pay attention in the class, you wouldn’t need tuitions at all. They teach each subject right from the basics - even if you know the basics pretty well, they help you recapitulate. Moreover, they are very understanding; I mean, of course, they’ll give you a lot of assignments, but you will realize why when you’re sitting in the examination hall smiling that you had solved all of it last week in your assignment. They know exactly what is to be taught and everything is pretty organized and very well-planned. They are good humans too - be it any problem in life, you can go to them and ask for their guidance. They don’t judge, they will help you out of any situation. Marks my words on this.

I wanted to become an entrepreneur and that is why I opted for Business Administration Degree. Therefore to become an entrepreneur I need to have understanding of all aspects of business thus I opted for this degree. As we are having a 4 year degree program the college will provide training and internship programs accordingly in the 2nd and 3rd year. The college curriculum also intends to conduct seminars and business program relevantly and also calls out big names from the industry that shares their experiences which helps us to have a concept. I beleive that the students of BBA especially should be given more responsibilities and events to conduct in college as it will be a good practice for us. The exam timings are perfect as it is set by the University and the college cannot do anything to change it's timing.

The college offers a range of internships as early as from First Semesters. With a mix of paid and unpaid internships based on experience and knowledge. Overall every student is highly satisfied with the internships and events for the same by the college. Though the college boasts a record of 80% placement rate with an average package of 3 lakhs. Somehow I think that data is to be based on facts by the students rather than the college claims. From my knowledge most of the passout students with a 7.5-8.0 and above CGPA got their placements from the college. In good companies such as TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Deloitte, Techno India Group and many reputed places.
