I had 94.399 percentile in MHT-CET and I got the college in my 3rd Cap round for Civil Engineering. If you've above 85 percentile you can try in the spot round too. I got TFWS seat so I got a benefit of 15000/- over fees. There was no such difficulty in admission process. For the cut-off's you can go through CET website.
The course content has been changed last year. Core subjects are included in the first year itself. This helps students tu gain interest in the field they have chosen and also it becomes easier to study.
Seniors that I know have been doing internship this holidays, but I don't know if the college provides it or you have to search for internships. But you can get internships by taking help of the college faculty.
The highest package that I know is of about 12L per annum and the average is around 5L. There is Training Placement Office in the college which helps students to improve themselves for the Placement interviews.
The fee for the OPEN category is around 85,000/- per yr, for TFWS is 70,000/- , and for other categories is different. I've admitted through TFWS seat so I paid 70k. Curriculum is essential to guide teachers in what to teach, how much depth of knowledge is needed for that grade, and a a timeline to follow so the year will be completed. Curriculum needs to focus on what you can do with information rather than the information itself. I wouldn’t eliminate content, without background we cannot form good, rational, and educated conclusions. We are still giving timed tests in math facts! I know that’s traditional, but it just isn’t as important. My era had no calculators and we needed to be proficient at paper and pencil solutions, but now, perfect calculations are available to everyone. We should focus on what kinds of problems can be solved with mathematics. Spelling is equally less important. Vocabulary should be stressed. My sister years ago was taking a test for a personal assistant position where she was asked to type a large number of words per minute error free. She was laughing at such a test. She said no one does that anymore, they just type t
The Computer Engineering curriculum at Usha Mittal Institute of Technology is comprehensive and highly relevant. The inclusion of modern programming languages, data structures, algorithms, and practical labs influenced my decision to enroll. The curriculum effectively prepares students for real-world applications and further academic pursuits through hands-on projects and research opportunities. Improvements could include more industry collaboration and updated electives on emerging technologies. Exams are frequent and well-timed, with a balanced difficulty level that ensures thorough understanding without undue stress. Overall, the curriculum is robust and well-rounded, setting a solid foundation for future success.
