MHT CET is conducted for admission in Engineering, Technical, pharma, and medical courses in the colleges situated at Maharashtra. The conducting body for the exam falls under the government of Maharashtra. Candidates who want to appear in the exam must have passed/appeared/appearing class 12 with science subjects including maths. Minimum marks in class 12 shall be 50% to appear for MHT CET 2021. The syllabus for the exam is based upon the course of class 11 and 12.
The exam will be conducted only through online mode.
The syllabus will comprise physics, chemistry and mathematics based on the course pattern of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
The questions will be objective type and every question will contain 4 options out of which one option will be the correct answer.
For every correct answer two marks will be awarded.
However, there is no negative marking for any incorrect or unanswered questions.

The exam will be conducted in two sessions. First session will be covering Physics and Chemistry and the 2nd session will be covering mathematics. Both papers will carry 100 marks each and 90 minutes will be allotted for each sitting.
The syllabus is based upon the course structure of class 11 and 12 of Maharashtra board. Some important features of regarding the questions are as follows:

MHT CET 2021 syllabus will be completely based upon the syllabus of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. The medium of examination shall be English, Marathi and Urdu for Physics Chemistry and Biology. Mathematics will be conducted in English language only. The language option shall be indicated at the time of filling the application form and it will be irrevocable and final. No request will be entertained for changing the language for the medium of examination.
The examination centers will be allotted in Maharashtra as well as the capital city of other states like Patna for Bihar, Lucknow for Uttar Pradesh, Chennai for Tamil Nadu and Delhi NCR. Exam centers outside the state of Maharashtra will depend upon the number of candidates from the particular area. Centers shall be selected while filling the application form and no request for changing the examination center shall be entertained under any circumstances. The right for the final allotment of centers is reserved with MHT CET and the decision shall be final and binding over the applicants.
There are some instructions prescribed by MHT CET for the candidates in context to the online examination and its pattern. Candidates are supposed to keep the following advice into their mind:
The online exam will consist of multiple choice questions with four options out of which one is correct and remaining three are incorrect.
Candidates are required to click on the answer which, according to them, is correct.
Mathematics’ questions will carry 2 marks each and questions from Physics and Chemistry will carry 1 mark each.
Total allotted time for the exam will be 180 minutes and the total number of questions will be 150.
There will be no negative marking or any kind of penalty for incorrect or unanswered answers.
On the screen only one question will be displayed at a time and thus candidates are advised not to waste too much time on one question and proceed to solve the next question.
Questions will be available in Urdu, English and Marathi language. However, only those candidates who have opted for Urdu and Marathi will be able to see the questions in those languages and all the others will get the question in English language.
If a candidate is having any doubt or dispute regarding any questions then the original english version will be considered as final.
