STATE LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
MHT CET provides admission to several engineering and other courses in colleges in the state of Maharashtra. It is performed annually by Maharashtra's State Government Entrance Test Cell in which candidates who qualify for MHT CET 2023 are admitted to different courses in Engineering and Technology, Medical, and Pharmacy. MHT CET 2023 reservation will be structured according to the Government of Maharashtra's reservation policy and India's reservation rules. Candidates who fall under the category of reservation must review MHT CET Eligibility requirements to receive the benefit of the seat to be contested. Under the Directorate of Technical Education, the Maharashtra government holds some reservations of seats for the state's backward caste and other reserved classes. Candidates must fill out their reservation category when completing the application for MHT CET 2023.

Candidates can refer to the table provided below for details on the different Maharashtra state seat reservations. Around 50% of backward-class seats are reserved in the state of Maharashtra. The 200 MHT CET Seats Reservation will be based on Maharashtra's diverse backward class. OBC (Other Backward Class) has 19 per cent more seat reservations than Maharashtra 's Schedule Tribe and Scheduled Caste. Then, the rest will be for the categories of General and others.

All the reservations provided will only apply to candidates who belong to the Maharashtra State. This is subject from time to time to fulfillment of the eligibility criteria stated by the respective authorities. The percentage of reservations is the percentages of seats available for candidates from Maharashtra which comes under the CAP.
The percentage of seats reserved for candidates from backward class groups from the state of Maharashtra is as shown below.
In accordance with the provisions of Government Resolution No. (123/2000)/ GEC-1000 / Tech. Edu.-1, which is dated April 17, 2000, there is a reservation of 30 percent seats for women candidates. There will be no reservation for female candidates who come under the categories of Defense, Persons with Disabilities, and Orphans.
Five percent (5 percent) of an institution's total approved intake, subject to a limit of five ( 5) seats in each CAP institution, is reserved for children of ex-service personnel residing in Maharashtra State (DEF-1). Children of active military personnel domiciled in the State of Maharashtra (DEF-2).

Note: Candidates with disabilities must note that no allowances or additional facilities in academic activities other than those offered by the respective universities upon admission to the degree course are provided.
In accordance with the provisions of Government Resolution No. राआधो -4019/31/16-अ which is dated 12 February, 2019, 10 percent of seats will be reserved for candidates from the EWS. The Competent Authority will fill these seats through CAP as stated from time to time by the Government's policies. These seats are to be in excess of the sanctioned intake.
One percent (1 percent) of CAP seats are reserved for Orphan Candidates (with the exclusion of Minority institutions, All India Seats, if any). The Competent Authority will fill these seats through CAP according to the Government Resolution, Department of Women and Child Welfare, No. AMJ-2011/C.R. 212 / Desk 3 which is dated 2 April, 2018 and the Government's policies stated from time to time.

Exceptions are there in the MHT CET 2023 reservation categories. All candidates from any class of Scheduled Tribes (ST), Vimukta Jati (VJ / DT – v), Nomadic Tribes (NT & c), Nomadic Tribes (NT & d), Nomadic Tribes (NT & M), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) that include SBC. These applicants will be asked to display their name in the non-creamy layer certificate as stated in government resolution to assert the benefits under the reserved category. If the applicant does not obey the same, and demands the reservation illegally, he / she will be prosecuted under the Caste Certificate Act, 2000.
The candidates must be Indian nationals and should have finished their 12th standard or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry , and Mathematics from a recognized board / university. Applicants who are to appear for the Class 12th board exams in 2023 can also apply. There will be no age limit to appear for the examination.
