Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) is conducted by State Common Entrance Test Cell on the behalf of Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra.

MHT CET 2020 Application process is over. The last date to fill the form was Feb 29, 2020. Application forms for MHT CET 2020 were accepted with late fees from March 01, 2020 to March 07, 2020.

Latest: MHT CET 2020 Exam dates have been postponed because of countrywide lockdown due to coronavirus outbreak. Details of revised dates will be announced soon. 

MHT CET is a state-level entrance test conducted every year to offer admission into B.E/B.Tech, B.Pharmacy and Agriculture courses in various government and private institutions situated in the state of Maharashtra. As per the changes made by DTE Maharashtra, MHT CET will be conducted in an online CBT mode.

The online application process for MHT CET 2020 has been released. MHT CET 2020  examination was scheduled to be conducted in 2 slots i.e April 13 to 17 & April 20 to 23, 2020 has now been postponed. The important dates of MHT CET 2020 are given below:

Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for MHT CET 2020, candidates must  check the eligibility criteria  set by the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra. Only those candidates who will satisfy the eligibility criteria will be allowed to appear in MHT CET 2020. Below is the eligibility of MHT CET 2020:

  • The candidate should be a citizen of India.
  • There is no age limit to appear in MHT CET 2020.
  • Candidate must have passed HSC/class XII exam or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with any one of the subjects – Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical/Vocational subjects.
  • Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination (HSC/XII) in 2020 are considered eligible.
  • Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks (for General Category) and at least 45% marks (for reserved category and Persons with Disability candidates) in aggregate of 5 subjects.


Steps to Fill Application

MHT CET 2020 application has been already been completed. The last date to fill and submit the application form was Feb 29, 2020. The authorities had also provided the facility of late registration by paying an additional amount of INR 500 from March 1 to 7, 2020.

For  MHT CET 2020 Registration, you can follow the simple steps mentioned below:

Step 1: Registration – Aspirants can complete the registration process through the official website of MHT CET 2020 - cetcell.mahacet.org.

Step 2: Fill the Online Form – Applicants will have to enter his/her personal details, educational details, contact details, medium of language, choice of paper and exam center city.

Step 3: Upload the Documents – Candidates will also have to upload his/her photograph, signature, and other required documents as asked.

Step 4: Online Fee Payment – After completing these steps, candidates will have to pay the application fee to confirm their candidature.

Exam Pattern & Syllabus

MHT CET 2020 Exam Pattern & Syllabus

MHT CET 2020 will be organized as an online Computer Based Test (CBT). It holds 3 Papers - Paper 1(Mathematics), Paper 2(Physics & Chemistry) and Paper 3 (Biology – Zoology & Botany).

  • The question paper will cover the syllabus of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
  • Approximately 20% weightage will be given to class 11th curriculum and 80% weightage will be given to class 12th curriculum while setting the question paper.

MHT CET 2020 Result will be announced on the official portal by the exam conducting body.

MHT CET 2020 Cut Off

MHT CET 2020 Cut Off is the minimum score required to secure admission in the various colleges offering admission through MHT CET 2020 score in Maharashtra. The cut off will depend on a lot of factors such as:

  • The number of applicants,
  • The number of seats available,
  • Previous year cut off marks and
  • The difficulty levels of the entrance test.
