The IIFT entrance exam marks a slight departure from previous year papers with easier Data Interpretation /Logical Reasoning and Verbal Ability/Reading Comprehension sections. Overall, we can say that the entrance exam is easier in this year. However, before we draw any conclusion, let us take a detailed look at the sections.

Section II

General Awareness:

The GK section was based on current GK. The questions were mix of static and current GK so required routine reading of newspaper and Current Affairs Magazines.

Section III

Verbal Ability:

This section was a mixture of sentence rearrangement, vocabulary and grammar based questions. The Sentence Correction and grammar questions were easy to moderate. Sentence rearrangement questions were again of moderate difficulty level. The candidates could have 12-15 questions.

Reading Comprehension:

The question was from modern mathematics in this section. The candidate could have attempted 17 questions in just 30 minutes.
