XAT 2018 Eligibility Criteria

You can analyze your eligibility criteria to take XAT & the same with respect to offered courses i.e. XAT Syllabus in different institutes. Foreign nationals who want to grab seat can take admission by fulfilling certain conditions. Students can check validity of available reservation details in support of their eligibility.
If you are satisfying the below mentioned criteria then you are directly eligible to take the test (necessary requirement).
General Eligibility Criteria
Students who are appearing for XAT entrance test may check their eligibility criteria as given below
- You must have passed three year bachelor degree (50%) in any discipline or equivalent from recognized university are eligible to apply.
- Students who have completed their final degree prior to June 10, 2017 may also apply.
- Students who have secured less than 50% marks in final degree examination are also eligible to apply but, they have to submit their marks sheet by June 10, 2017 in respective colleges.
Course wise Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for different programmes offered at institutes who provide admission through XAT is given as below

Note:- The data mentioned in table above is the criteria to apply for different courses in Institutes taking admission through XAT. To appear for XAT entrance only you have to fulfill the basic eligibility criteria. Eligibility mentioned in above table is the sufficient requirement. To appear for XAT basic eligibility is the necessary requirement.
Eligibility for foreign Nationals/NRI/Person of Indian Origin (PIO)
Foreign nationals/PIO/NRI candidates are eligible to apply for XAT subject to fulfillment of desired conditions. They are required to secure more than 50% marks in graduation.
Reservation Criteria
Here we will discuss about reservation allotted to scheduled tribe, scheduled caste & other backward classes.
Reservation for SC/ST/OBC
- Students are eligible to apply if they have scored 45% marks in aggregate in bachelor degree.
- According to XAT guidelines there is no any fixed allocation or reservation of seats for reserved categories.
- There is no any reservation defined according to religious background of candidates.

Ques. I am pursuing my final year of graduation. What aggregate percentage should I require to fill the form?
Ans. In general, 50% maks in any discipline from recognized university are required to fill the application form.

Ans. If you have completed your final degree examination by June 10, 2015 then you are eligible to apply in XLRI. Affiliated institutes have different criteria regarding the degree submission date of qualifying examination.

Ques. What are the minimum eligibility requirements for NRI/Foreign students?
Ans. NRI/Foreign students who want to take XAT entrance test may apply to their respective associated college, as different colleges have different criteria for admission.
Student may go through the selection procedure to explore the same.
Ques. Apart from XAT score, what are the other parameters should be paid attention by a candidate?
Ans. XAT score is mandatory, but some affiliated institute asks for soft skills like Group discussion, Academic Performance & interview ethics.

Ans. NO, there is no any specific age limit for XAT exam. Candidates who have finished their graduation may apply for this course at any time.
Ques. If I am fulfilling all the eligibility conditions directed for XAT. Am I directly eligible for admission in associated colleges after deceleration of result?
Ans. If you have fulfilled all the eligibility conditions prescribed in XAT. In that case you are eligible to take XAT exam only.
To take admission in the respective institutes you have to fulfill the conditions laid down by that institute along with XAT score.
Ques. Is there is any reservation criteria with respect to religion in XAT entrance?
Ans. No, there is no any reservation mentioned according to the latest guidelines of XLRI.
Ques. Is there any minority community reservation for candidates?
Ans. As per XAT guidelines there is no any minority community reservation available for candidates. But minority reservation is applicable in certain institutes i.e. Loyala Institute of Business Administration (LIBA). In LIBA 50% seats are reserved for catholic Christians.
