December 28, 2021: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started the online registration process for Single Girl Child Scholarship 2021-22 for all eligible students on its official website at cbse.nic.in.

CBSE Board students who are interested in applying for the Single Girl Child Scholarship 2021 program can now submit their registrations for the same on the board's website on or before January 17, 2022. 

Candidates must note that applications submitted after the given deadline will not be considered for the scholarship program. Additionally, applications submitted with false information will be rejected by the board.

In addition to the scholarship program, the Central Board of Secondary Education has directed all its affiliated schools to approve the eligible SGC applications from December 31, 2021, to January 25, 2022. 

The official CBSE notice reads, “From 2021, schools are requested to process the application of their students as per guidelines issued for this scheme. Schools are requested to go through the guidelines of the Single Girl Child Scholarship X-2021 available on the CBSE website".

Students who are interested in applying for CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2021 are advised to check the eligibility criteria for the same to avoid the cancellation of the application. The detailed eligibility criteria for the scheme is mentioned below: 

  • The scheme is open for single girl children pursuing education at Classes 11 and 12 in CBSE affiliated schools. 
  • Students must have passed Class 10 from the school affiliated with CBSE.
  • Should be the only girl child of their parents. 
  • Must have at least and 60% or more marks in Class 10.
  • The monthly tuition fee should be less than Rs 1,500 in Class 10.
  • Class 11 students must have at least 50% or more marks. 
  • NRI candidates can also apply if they meet the eligibility criteria.
  • Candidates should be of Indian Nationality.
