New Delhi: The Department of Geophysics, Institute of Science, BHU, has once again demonstrated its strength and distinction through the selection of 20 of its students to work as Geophysicists for the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation.
The M.Sc. (Tech) students have successfully qualified for the fiercely competitive exam. Students from all over the world took part in this competitive exam.
According to Prof. Rajeev Bhatia, Head of the Department of Geophysics, '20 of the 61 candidates chosen for the position are from the department. For study and research in the field, the geophysics department at BHU is regarded as one of the most prestigious departments in the nation.
The department's faculty members and successful students have been congratulated on their selection by ONGC. These Students have been selected for the post of Geophysicist which is a honorable and reputative job role..
Over the years, departmental students have made a name for themselves in all the highly competitive exams.
As per Banaras Hindu University, “Recently, 22 departmental students were among the top 100 in the GATE 2023 rankings whereas four of these students were among the top ten”.
According to a BHU announcement, The department of Geophysics is amongst the top most reputative department especially when it comes to research studies.
