The lack of clarity on the details of the compartment examination to be carried out by the Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) for Class 10 and 12 students have become a cause of concern for schools in the city.

"CBSE has stated that the compartment examination would be carried out, but there is no mention of the timetable or guidelines for the examination. Many schools have asked us about this," said Indore Sahodaya School Complex Chairman UK Jha.

Schools are also concerned about students who opted for basic mathematics in Class 10.

But now they're trying to change it to standard mathematics.

"Those students who have changed their minds and decided to opt for mathematics in Class 11 must complete a separate examination of standard mathematics.

Schools also wanted to know, "said Jha, who decided to take these queries to the board.
