CBSE Board Exams 2021: The Education Ministry has addressed some of the fake claims circulating on online media regarding CBSE 2021 pass percentage criteria.

As per the fake news, students appearing for CBSE Class 10 and CBSE Class 12 Board Exams 2021 are required to score only 23 percent in their board examinations in order to pass. Referring to which, the PIB rubbished all claims by stating that CBSE rules have not changed. 

Press Bureau of India, PIB has confirmed that CBSE 2021 passing percentage is still fixed at 33 percent. Students are advised to beware of such fake news.

“Claim: In a post on social media, it is being claimed that the passing marks in board exams 2021 for CBSE class 10 and CBSE class 12 have been reduced from 33 percent to 23 percent. PIB fact check: This claim is fake, the Education Minister has made no such announcement,” tweeted the Press Bureau of India. 

CBSE had earlier announced a reduction in the CBSE 2021 syllabus for Classes 10 and 12, by 30 percent keeping in mind the abnormal conditions created by the Covid-19 pandemic for students appearing for the CBSE exams 2019-2020. 

The CBSE Board Exams 2021 are scheduled to commence on May 04, 2021, and continue until June 10, 2021. CBSE date sheet will be released soon with a fixed schedule for the exams. 

Additionally, the Education Ministry has permitted schools to conduct the board practical exams from March 01, 2021.
