VITEEE 2023 Exam Dates (Revised): Check Registration, Slot Booking, and Exam Schedule
VITEEE 2023 Exam Date has been revised by the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT). According to the new schedule, VITEEE 2023 is going to be conducted from April 17 to April 23, 2023. Earlier, VITEEE 2023 exam date was from April 15 to April 21, 2023. VIT released the application form for VITEEE 2023 on November 11, 2022. - Aspirants wishing to pursue B.Tech from VIT Vellore/ Chennai/ Amravati/ Bhopal must appear for VITEEE 2023 exam and secure the minimum cut off. CheckVITEEE Eligibility Criteria
- VITEEE 2023 Admit Card will be issued to candidates who successfully complete the slot booking process.
- Last year, the exam was conducted in Online Remote Proctored mode due to the rising COVID-19 cases in the country. However, VITEEE 2023 will be conducted in either CBT mode or Remote proctored mode.
- VITEEE Result will be released along with the counselling schedule on last week of April 2023 (tentatively)

To apply online, candidates are supposed to visit the official website of VIT University i.e. vit.ac.in. To obtain a VIT application form offline, candidates could visit one of the post offices as mentioned at the University website.
- To be able to apply for VITEEE 2023, it is mandatory for a candidate to score an aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology in the +2/Intermediate examination.
- NRI students are also eligible to apply.
- Candidates have to pay INR 1150/- (online application fee) and INR 1200/- (offline application fee) respectively, as VITEEE Application Fee.
- After form-filling, applicants have to book their preferred slots duringVITEEE 2023 Slot Booking. All the slots are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Candidates can only book the vacant date and time slots available for a particular VITEEE Exam Center. The facility for slot booking is just a one time option. Slots booked once cannot be changed or cancelled any circumstance.
- VITEEE Admit Card 2023 will be auto-generated after applicants complete the online slot booking procedure.
VITEEE 2023 Exam Date and Schedule
VITEEE 2023 will be conducted in 3 sessions per day. The exam will be conducted across 124 VITEEE Exam Centers. The number of examination days in a particular centre is based on the total number of applications registered in that centre.
The entire duration of the examination is 2 hours and 30 minutes. All the different slots are mentioned below. Candidates need to choose one of the following slots during the online slot booking process. Check VITEEE Exam Pattern

VITEEE 2023 Exam Day Instructions
Candidates are advised to go through the following guidelines before appearing for VITEEE:
- Candidates will be provided with separate computer systems to appear for the exam.
- They will submit their responses through the use of a mouse, thus candidates are expected to be familiar with the use of computers.
- University will not take any responsibility, in case a candidate is not familiar with the basic use of a computer. They are advised to get basic training in the use of computers.
- All the questions will be displayed in English on the computer screen. There are four responses provided for every multiple choice question labelled A, B, C and D. Candidates should mark the correct answer only, as instructed before the exam
- Every candidate must be seated on the allotted system only. In case of any problem with the computer system, the candidate should immediately inform the invigilator present in the hall.
- The candidate would be required to give the test again, in case of any technical failure. They should visit the official website regularly for any updates.
VITEEE 2023 Result Dates
- VITEEE 2023 Result will tentatively release on last week of April 2023.
- Candidates can visit the official website of VIT i.e. vit.ac.in to check their results and rank.
- A merit list will be prepared based on the total marks secured in VITEEE. It will include the names of all qualifying candidates.
- Admission to VIT will be based on VITEEE Cutoff. So, a candidate must secure the minimum set marks to be able to proceed to VITEEE Counselling 2023.
- The counselling will be held in 2 phases. Phase I can be expected to start in the 2nd week of May 2023 2023. Phase II counselling dates for other Rank Holders will be released afterwards. However, if seats still remain vacant, an optional 3rd phase of Counselling will be conducted.
VITEEE 2023 Counselling Dates
Phase 1 of VITEEE 2023 Counselling will tentatively begin on 2nd week of May 2023. Phase 1 will allot seats to the first 20,000 ranks, distributed in groups across four days. The schedule for VIT counselling Phase 2 for Higher Rank Holders will be intimated in due course on the official website. Candidates are advised to make all the travelling arrangements in advance since the counselling would be conducted at the Vellore and Chennai Campuses respectively. VITEEE 2023 Counselling Procedure
The counselling procedure for allocating different branches of engineering is based on the All India Rank in VITEEE 2023. Eligible students must register for counselling on the website of VIT. Only the registered aspirants can attend VITEEE 2023 Counselling rounds.
Candidates must follow the below steps to participate in VITEEE Counselling 2023:
- Register for VITEEE Counselling 2023
- Candidates will be informed through SMS about the schedule of VITEEE Counselling 2023
- Visit the required VITEEE Counselling Centre and present documents
- Slot and day-wise vacant seats will be updated by VIT
- Date and time of VITEEE Counselling 2023 will not change under any circumstance
- In case a candidate fails to reach the centre, his seat will be offered to the next candidate in order of merit
- In special cases (inevitable/unforeseen/unavoidable reasons) if some examinee is not able to participate in VITEEE 2023 counselling personally on the specified date and time, then they can appear for counselling on a subsequent date and time. For this, they have to inform the VITEEE office in this regard. Secondly, the candidate has to accept whichever branch is available at that time.
- In case a qualified candidate’s mark sheet is not received before the scheduled day of counselling, he has to produce an undertaking mentioning that if the candidate fails to qualify as per the rules, then he/she will give up their seat.
VITEEE 2023 Commencement of Classes
The classes for various undergraduate programs in the academic session 2023 – 23 will likely commence in the first week of August 2023, for both the Vellore and Chennai campuses. Candidates are advised to report on time for classes and complete all the admission formalities. The tentative schedule for commencement of classes in VIT is given below:

VITEEE 2023 Exam Dates FAQs
Ques: What is the last date to apply for VITEEE 2023?
Ans: VITEEE 2023 application form was released on November 11, 2022. The last date to apply for VITEEE 2023 will be on March 31, 2023. Candidates will be able to apply online as well as offline. The official website to apply online is vit.ac.in and to apply offline, candidates can buy the forms from the VIT colleges or from the places designated by VIT. For online applications, you have to pay a fee of INR 1150 and for the offline form, you have to pay a fee of INR 1200 + 50 for the DD.
Ques: Can I download my Admit Card after completing the registration process?
Ans: After applying for VITEEE 2023, you have to do the online slot booking and after the successful completion of slot booking you can download your admit card. The dates are yet to be announced by VIT University.
Ques: What are the exam dates for VITEEE 2023?
Ans: VITEEE 2023 was scheduled to be conducted from April 15 – 21, 2023. But, VIT has revised the exam date for VITEEE 2023. Now, VITEEE 2023 is going to be conducted from April 17 to April 23, 2023. The exam will be conducted in 3 slots and during the time of online slot booking, you can choose the slot, centre, etc of your choice. You have to be very careful while selecting the slot because slots once allotted will not be changed in the future under any circumstances.
Ques: When will VITEEE 2023 results be declared?
Ans: VITEEE 2023 result will be declared on last week of April 2023 (tentatively). After the declaration of the results, the counselling process will start from the month of May. Those candidates who will fulfil all the eligibility criteria of counselling will be offered admission in VIT.
