DM Rheumatology: Entrance Exam Preparation Tips

  • Divide your schedule: Studying without a deadline isn’t something that candidates can afford, therefore they must assign their days to certain topics and finish them within the deadline.

Therefore, they must research well and shortlist some resources for the study plan and stick to it. Remember, Candidates can’t cover everything from everywhere, therefore keep it simple and accurate.
  • Revision is the Key: Candidates should not keep revision for the last minute. They should keep revision sessions for regular intervals. They should make some crisp notes for the last minute reading and avoid unnecessary panic before the exam.

Why should you pursue DM Rheumatology?

Rheumatology is a specialized field in internal medicine. Therefore, patients with musculoskeletal disorders require skilled doctors who are trained and specialized in the particular field. • Skill Sets: Since rheumatologists focus on treatment methods other than surgery, diagnosis and cure might take more time. Therefore the person has patience to deal with the situation.
  • Learning attitude: New medical and treatment methods are being developed regularly. The person should be aware and ready to accept the novel ways of treatment which will help both the person and the patient.
  • Academically strong: Since rheumatology is a specialized field of internal medicine, students will have to learn and remember a lot of complex terms and procedures which are hard to comprehend.

It is a given fact that IGNOU is one of the best universities in India. All of its courses have great value. But when it comes to PhD, the truth is that there are many universities that are more specialized in it. Also, you can opt to study abroad. It is a very good option and has a lot of benefits.

In the end, it’s your own personal decision. Just make sure to think about it open-mindedly first. You may refer to career counselling sites also. They give you the best advice regarding your career or any study-related decision.

Yes it is possible. There are a lot of mediocre students who evolve with time and end up cracking IIT or AIIMS.

  • AIIMS conducts an entrance exam every 6 months for entry into its MD, MS courses.
  • You can regularly visit the exam portal of AIIMS to check for all the details regarding exam pattern, eligibility, seat distribution, registration for the exam, and other details.
  • They also release exam notifications in newspapers.
  • AIIMS generally reserves 50% of its PG seats for its internal candidates (those who have pursued their MBBS from AIIMS), which doesn't mean external candidates don't stand a chance.

Since MD radiology at AIIMS, New Delhi is your target, you will require a rank in top 3-5 to secure a place in MD radiology. It might be the toughest exam but it is not impossible. Try dedicating more time preparing for this, which might give you positive results.
