BSc Honours admission usually involves the selection of candidates based on merit, but some colleges take admission on the basis of performance in the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by universities.

How to get admission in a good BSc Hons College?

Following are some of the points to keep in mind while seeking admission in a good BSc Hons college:

  • Admission for BSc Honours course is mainly done on the basis of marks scored in Class 12. Hence, if you want to get admission to a good university like Delhi University or so, the minimum aggregate score should be at least 90% or above.
  • You should check the last year’s cut off of the college in which you want to take admission to get an idea of how much you need to score in Class 12.
  • The higher the score, the better the chances of admission to an esteemed college.
  • In order to secure admission by cracking the entrances, keep the following points in mind:
  • The entrance examination is usually MCQ-based and may have some aptitude questions as well. The syllabus usually consists of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology sections at Class 10-12 level.
