CIC New Delhi B.Tech Course Details

CIC New Delhi offers a full-time B.Tech program in 1 discipline i.e. mathematical Innovations and Information Technology for the duration of 4 years.

Prescribed Coursework

The B.Tech course of CIC New Delhi is designed in an interactive learning mode. The 4-year course is divided into 8 semesters. It can extend up to a span period of 6 years.

• A paper having 6 credits has two components: Theory and laboratory work of 3 credits each. Papers having a total of 3/4 credits do not include laboratory work.
• The first and second semester of the B.Tech program consists of basic courses. In the third and fourth semesters, the B.Tech courses consist of specialization streams, 2 streams in each.
• The fourth semester will also have an innovation project.
• The fifth semester will also constitute 2 specialization streams and 1 industrial mini project of 6 credits.
• The sixth semester will have 2 specialization streams and one project in Industry, society, and villages.
• In the 7th semester, the coursework will have 2 specialization streams and an Industrial mini-project consisting of simulation of real-time cases.
• The 8th semester constitutes an Industry Internship or Major Project of 32 credits. During the 7th semesters, the students will decide the field of work and the organization for execution of the Industrial Internship.

• The total Number of Credits for the B.Tech 8 semester program is 256 Credits.
• To pass in any theory or practical course, B.Tech students shall secure a minimum of 40% credit score.

Evaluation: B.Tech students will be continuously assessed based on class tests, seminars, assignments, presentations, projects, etc. Evaluation and Review community (ERC) will evaluate the students’ performance.

Award of Degree: Students will be awarded B.Tech or B.Tech Dual degree on successful completion of all the courses, specialized courses, mini and big projects, and lab projects.
