LM Thapar School of Management (LMTSM) is a private management institute that is run under Thapar University (Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology) approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Registration for All the courses offered by LMTSM can be made online after payment of INR 1200.
Candidates with graduation or post-graduation degrees in any discipline with 50% in aggregate marks from recognized institutes are eligible for admission to LMTSM.
Selection to MBA program will be conducted on the basis of a valid CAT/XAT/CMAT/MAT/GMAT/NMAT by GMAC/GRE/SNAP/Thapar Management Aptitude Test scores.

LMTSM MBA Eligibility

The candidates following any one of the given eligibility criteria are eligible for admission to the MBA program by LMTSM.

Graduate Degree in any discipline with 50% in aggregate marks or CGPA or grade secured from recognized University/Institute.
Post Graduate degree in any discipline with 50% marks in aggregate or CGPA or Grade from a recognized University/Institute.
A graduate degree with a pass in all parts/sections of the Intermediate examination of CA/ ICWA/ ACS.
Applicants having extraordinary managerial/leadership potential demonstrated through at least one year of experience are exempt from having 50% marks in their graduation/post-graduation.

LMTSM MBA Selection Process

Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their CAT/XAT/NMAT/GRE/GMAT/CMAT/MAT/SNAP/Thapar Management Aptitude Test scores. The selection process of the shortlisted candidates will be conducted on the basis of Group Interaction and performance in Personal Interviews via online mode.

LMTSM Executive MBA Eligibility:

A bachelor’s degree from any government recognized university in India or an equivalent degree from overseas.

Experience Requirement:

LMTSM Application Process 2023

Registration for MBA program of Thapar School of Mangement can be online on http://lmtsm.thapar.edu/. Aspirants can follow the given procedure to fill the application form correctly. The application fee for admission is INR 1,200:

Step 1: Submit your application online at www.lmtsm.thapar.edu along with detailed information. You will be required to fill in the basic details along with academic scores and management test scores (if any).

Step 2: Your application will be reviewed by the admissions committee and will be communicated to you by Email and SMS on the day of Short-Listing of Candidates.

Step 3: An in-person evaluation process will be conducted by LMTSM, an academic readiness test and an interview round. During this, you will need to very explicitly demonstrate why you want to enroll in the program, your understanding of what the program has to offer and your contribution to the program. The latest evaluation process is available on the website www.lmtsm.thapar.edu.

Step 4: The final decision of the admissions committee on the basis of your performance in the evaluation process will be communicated to you via email and SMS.

Step 5: The shortlisted candidates will have a few days to register for the program via E-counselling or In-person counselling and submit all documents and fees pertaining to the program.

LMSTM Selection Process

The following are the various components of this assessment:

A. Professional Readiness: It comprises two parts:

Video Statement of Purpose - A short video (not exceeding 03 minutes, preferably MP4 format), submitted before the interview, describing the following points:
- Your motivation to pursue an MBA
- What is unique about you as a person?
Interview - An interaction with the admissions panel, where the applicant is assessed for the overall fit.

B. Academic Readiness: It comprises two parts:

Quant & Verbal Aptitude Test - To be assessed based on applicant’s valid CAT/XAT/ NMAT by GMACTM/ GRE/ GMAT/ CMAT/ MAT/ SNAP score. Applicants without a valid score in the above-mentioned tests must appear for the Thapar Management Aptitude Test (60 mins in duration), on the day of the interview.
Non-verbal Aptitude Test - A 40 minutes test on non-verbal reasoning, conducted on the day of the interview, and is mandatory for all applicants.

C. Academic History: It comprises three parts:
