Average engineering college review

What I Liked

I like the lab and tech facilities. Not best infrastructure but okay

What I didn’t like

I dislike the teaching methods and staffs as the are not professional as expected

Remarks:

I chose my current college mainly due to the availability of seats in the Artificial Intelligence and Data Science program and its proximity to home, despite it not being my first choice. I had also applied to other reputed institutions like [saveetha], SRM known for their strong academic programs, superior infrastructure, and experienced faculty. These colleges offered advanced labs, better research opportunities, and stronger placement records, particularly in tech fields. Unfortunately, I didn’t secure admission to these colleges due to either high cutoffs or limited seats. My performance in the entrance exams was competitive but fell short of the stringent requirements set by these top-tier institutions. The admission process at my current college was straightforward. It required clearing an entrance exam, followed by a counseling session based on merit. The cutoffs were relatively lower, making it accessible. While the teaching quality and infrastruct

Which is the best, RMK Engineering College or Rajalakshmi Engineering College?

In terms of teaching, both Rajalakshmi Engineering College and RMK are good. The faculty is well qualified who are dynamic and many of them are Ph.D holders. REC is good in terms of exposure and extra co-curricular activities, compare to RMK.

RMK has a mess in which you get good non-veg food with desserts along with tea and snacks in the evening. But REC has 3-4 canteens inside and outside which gives you good quality of food but the only negative point is that they don't serve non-veg food.

REC is lenient when compared with RMK in terms of dress code, communicating with your classmates, using phones and laptops. Campus ambiance is good in both REC and RMK. Now the REC campus has been renovated and it has more greenery when compared to past days.

In terms of placement at RMK, you will get several opportunities for IT companies and limited offers for civil and mechanical. REC provides a lot of training programs and ensures that each student gets placed. Some of the recruiters are TATA, WIPRO and the list goes on.

Which is better for mechanical through councelling, Rajalakshmi or Panimalar?

Out of the two colleges, Panimalar College is good for Mechanical Engineering. The faculties are well educated and well qualified that deliver the best lectures to promote conceptual learning but the environment is quite strict.

The college offers placement for almost every student with the highest package 15-20 LPA and an average package of 4.5 LPA, as per recent statistics. The fees of the college are also affordable.

Getting admission in Panimalar has an edge over Rajalakshmi in terms of placement, quality of education provided, type of faculty, study environment, and most important of all fee structure. Get out of your comfort zone and search for the various options suitable for you for your holistic development.

Rajalakshmi Engineering College is better than Easwari Engineering College. In comparison, it gives more importance to academics. The institute also offers proper guidance and training for job search. Around 322 recruiting companies took part in Rajalakshmi Engineering College placements. For CSE, Rajalakshmi Engineering College will be better. It has better infrastructure and offers better placement to students.
