Maturi Venkata Subba Rao college was established in 1980, located in a campus at Nadergul, RR Dist., Telangana. The college was accredited by AICTE and approved by NBA. Maturi Venkata Subba Rao college mainly offers UG and PG courses focusing the area of Engineering and Technology. At undergraduate level, Maturi Venkata Subba Rao Engineering College provides Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) and Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) programme to the aspiring candidates who want to pursue their career in the field of Engineering and Technology. Maturi Venkata Subba Rao Engineering College has two Master’s degree programmes in its servings, those are Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Application (MCA) with a duration of two and three years respectively.

Good Will Technique

What I Liked

The overall faculty is very experienced and very interactive in nature
The college provides co-curricular actives such as NSS,NCC,PHOTOGRAPHIC and other activities.
The campus is very lush green and maintains proper sanitation.

What I didn’t like

They ask everytime charges for any events happening in college
The canteen doesn't provide tasty food and taste is below average.
The sport department does not provide any equipments for outdoor games.

Remarks:

I have applied around eight colleges but i have got selected in MVSR College.Later i have not applied to other colleges because when i have enquired about the college the overall faculty are professional and has experience of 10 year and thos College provides other two main courses than cybersecurity i.e IOT and Blockchain Technology.

Which is better, GRIET ECE or MVSR ECE?

GRIET (Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering & Technology) and MVSR (Maturi Venkata Subba Rao Engineering College) both these institutes are good for ECE. NIRF 2020 has ranked GRIET and MVSR at 172 and 251 for BTech.

Admissions:

GRIET -

70% of the seats in B.Tech are allotted on merit basis.
Admission is given to ECE branch on the basis of score in the common entrance test (EAMCET).
In 2019 the closing cutoff for ECE was 2231.

MVSR - In both the colleges, admission to UG programmes are given on the basis of EAMCET ranking.

70% of the seats are reserved for EAMCET examination under ‘A’ category while 30% for management candidates under ‘B’ category.
The closing EAMCET 2019 cutoff for ECE was 3731.

Faculty: The faculties for ECE at both the institute are well-qualified and have years of experience. GRIET ECE has 15 faculties who hold a PhD while the 6 faculties at MVSR ECE department also have doctorate degrees.

Facilities:

GRIET -

The ECE departmental laboratory of GRIET is equipped with the best instruments and receives AICTE grants.
GRIET also provides the students with facilities like library, water plant, solar water plant, canteen, classrooms and sports area.

MVSR –

At MVSR, the ECE department has a laboratory with 4 MODROBS projects sanctioned by AICTE.
MVSR Campus has various facilities for the students like library, sports, dispensary, canteen, bank, hostel, computing centre, yoga centre and transportation.

Placements:

GRIET -

In session 2017-18, 253 students of GRIET ECE were placed in companies like Amazon, Capgemini, Deloitte, Infosys, Wipro and TCS.
The average CTC received by GRIET ECE students is 5.05 lakhs.

MVSR -

At MVSR, ECE 180 students got placement in companies like Hyundai, Capgemini, Cyient, IBM, Modak Analytics and many more.
At MVRS ECE, the highest salary package offered to the student was found to be 6 lakh.

Apart from academics, both the institute organizes many events around the academic year. At GRIET, ECE department many events are organised like FDP, webinars, android app development workshops, etc. MVSR ECE has organised events like workshops on water resource systems modelling, FDP on refrigeration & automobile air-conditioning and MIRACLE – 2019.

Both the colleges are good at infrastructure and academics. But GRIET excels in providing one of the best placement opportunities to the students.
