GMRIT B.Tech Eligibility:

All applicants to this course must satisfy the following eligibility criteria:

• Candidates who apply are required to have passed 10+2 in Science Stream with 50% marks in PCM.
• Applicants are also required to have a valid score in the AP-EAMCET.

GMRIT B.Tech Selection Criteria:

• The admissions to the B.Tech course in GMRIT is conducted on the basis of the applicant’s score in the AP-EAMCET(Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test). 
• The institute releases a list of the cut off ranks for the AP-EAMCET every year. The list of cut off ranks are as follows:

GMRIT B.Tech Reservations:

The following Reservations are made for the respective applicants:

• 70% of seats are reserved for those students applying through the AP EAMCET
• 30% of seats are filled on merit-basis according to the marks acquired by the applicant in 10+2, according to the guidelines of APSCHE.
• 10% of the seats from each course are available to Lateral Entry applicants.
• Overall, students from the state of Andhra Pradesh are given preference for admission
• The course generally has a minimum duration of 4 years, but can be completed in a maximum of 8 years.

GMRIT B.Tech (Lateral Entry)

• This course is available to those applicants who have completed a Diploma course. 
• The admission to this course scheme is done through the AP ECET(Andhra Pradesh Engineering Common Entrance Test).

• Candidates seeking admission to this course must have a B.E./ B. Tech in the relevant or allied discipline with minimum 50% marks.
• Applicants should also have a valid GATE/AP-PGECET score.
• The course generally has a minimum duration of 2 academic years, but can be completed in a maximum of 4 academic years.
